Oro dad reminds brgy execs on waste segregation AS the city government is now strictly implementing Ordinance No. 8975-2003, which requires the mandatory segregation of waste at source, Cagayan de Oro City Councilor Dante Pajo, chair of the city council committee on health and sanitation and member of the committee on environment and natural resources, reminds barangay officials of their important roles in the successful implementation of the said law. Pajo cited Section 3b of the ordinance, which provides that the segregation of waste shall be primarily conducted and managed at the barangay level specifically for the compostable, recyclable, and reusable waste. 1st Negosyo Center to open in C. de Oro

CAGAYAN de Oro City–– As one of the pilot areas for the establishment of Negosyo Center in 2014, Cagayan de Oro City will launch its Negosyo Center on November 13 at 2 p.m. at the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental Provincial Office’s new location at the ground level of Antolin Building, Tiano-Akut Streets in Cagayan de Oro City. One of the salient features of Republic Act 10644, otherwise known as the “Go Negosyo Act” which was enacted on July 15, 2014 is the Establishment of Negosyo Centers in all provinces, cities and municipalities in the country – which shall be responsible for promoting ease of doing business and facilitating access to BULK WATER SUPPLY. PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur––The Provincial Council for the Welfare of Women and Children (PCWWC) convened here on Friday to discuss the 18 – day campaign to end violence against women (VAW), increase awareness of stakeholders, increase

the commitment of right to protect the victims of violence against women and to forge partnership among stakeholders in addressing the VAW. The start of the 18-day campaign to end violence against women will be on November 25 until De-

3 alleged drug pushers killed

GENERAL Santos City–– Three suspected illegal drug pushers were killed in a shootout with police anti-drug operatives in an outskirt village here on Friday night. Chief Insp. Lauro Espida, city police station number 07 chief, said Saturday the encounter happened during
