MISAMIS ORIENTAL – The province of Misamis Oriental has mobilized a team to anticipate possible effects once the typhoon depression “Domeng” (international name Peipah) landfalls on Thursday, provincial officials said on Tuesday. Provincial Administrator Edmundo Pacamalan, Jr., said that the provincial government has dispatched a team starting Tuesday in some critical areas in Misamis Oriental’s eastern district. The team, most members were from the provincial risk reduction management council, would establish a headquarter and communication center in the component city of Gingoog, 200 kilometers east of here, Pacamalan said. He said that the provincial government would keep a tight watch in vulnerable areas, particularly along the landslide prone areas of Gingoog City toward the border of Agusan Del Norte and Misamis Oriental’s east district.
