Divine Mercy Shrine

Pilgrims from many places around Mindanao and elsewhere flock to the Divine Mercy Shrine at El Salvador, Misamis Oriental. The pilgrims have to climb 80 steps to reach the upper part of the 50-foot statue. They are not allowed to carry cellphones and cameras on the way up. Below they could buy souvenir t-shirts images of saints. The shrine is being readied for an influx of pilgrims during this year’s Holy Week on the third week of April. AMBOANGA City––A Saudi Arabia medical team has partnered with locallybased physicians to extend free medical assistance to the internally displaced p ersons (IDPs) housed at the Joaquin Enriquez Memorial Sports Complex in this city.
