Netizens call Napoles ‘Amnesia Girl’ in Senate hearing By Tyrone A. Velez of Davao Today
DAVAO City––Calling her “Pork Barrel Queen” and “My Amnesia Girl”, netizens let out their anger in social media after Janet Napoles dodges questions in Thursday’s Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on her alleged involvement in the pork barrel scam. Appearing in public for the first time since her arrest in September, Napoles came in a bullet-proof vest and was without her lawyers. In her answers, she parries off inquiries and appeals to reveal information on her business and involvement in the alleged misuse of public funds amounting to P 25 billion over ten years. Instead, senators and the public watching the hearing on television heard repeated

Bulatlat perspective
Enough of the special treatment for Napoles By BENJIE OLIVEROS of Bulatlat.com
THE much-awaited testimony of Janet Lim-Napoles, suspected conduit in the pork barrel scam involving at least P10 billion ($232.5 million), before the Senate began today November 7. The Philippine National Police reportedly spent P150,000 ( $3.5 thousand) for her security. The government sent two lawyers from the Public Attorney’s Office to assist her. And what happened? Nothing. The testimony, or the lack of it, of Napoles reminds us of what former Commission on Elections Commissioner Virgilio Garcillano did during the congressional hearings on the “Hello Garci” election fraud scandal. Napoles, and Garcillano then, simply denied everything under oath. See ENOUGH/p.11
