Ombud clears Iligan mayor on 2 cases filed by ex-vice mayor ILIGAN City––The Office of the Ombudsman, in a joint resolution, dismissed the two cases filed against Iligan City Mayor Celso G. Regencia for Grave Abuse of Authority and Grave Misconduct.

The Joint Resolution was issued by the Ombudsman pertaining to the cases, OMB-M-C15-0421, for violation of Section 3 (c) and (g) of R.A. No. 3019 and OMB-M-A-15-0513, for Grave Abuse of Authority

and Grave Misconduct filed by then Iligan City Vice Mayor Ruderick C. Marzo on November 2, 2015. The Ombudsman dismissed the case for no probable cause. Iligan City Information

Mayor on Davao blast: ‘Senseless incident’

GENERAL Santos City–– Mayor Ronnel Rivera described the bomb attack in Davao City on Friday night that left 14 people dead and 71 others wounded a “senseless incident” and rallied residents to be more vigilant. CAGAYAN de Oro City--Authorities have placed the entire region under full alert after suspected local terrorist group bombed the night market along Roxas Avenue in Davao City at 9:50 p.m. Friday killing 14 people and injured 71 others.
