CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Rafael V. Mariano distributed a total of 887 hectares of land to 455 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Northern Mindanao when he visited DAR regional office in Cagayan de Oro this month. The Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) was given to 330 ARBs in Bukidnon with 700 hectares including towns of Maramag, Pangantucan, Talakag and Lantapan. Meanwhile, in Lanao Norte, a total of 187 hectares were distributed to 155 ARBs in Kolambugan town. DOLE-MisOcc turns over 600T livelihood starter kits OROQUIETA CITY, Misamis Occidental -- The Department of Labor and Employment, Regional Office No. 10 (DOLE-10), through its Misamis Occidental (Mis. Occ.) Provincial Field Office (PFO) granted the release of P600,000.00 check for the livelihood starter kits of some 54 workers of the informal sector of Barangay Binuangan on 2 August 2016 at the Barangay Hall, Binuangan, Oroquieta City. City Vice Mayor Lemuel Acosta joined the beneficiaries, as well as the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) staff and some barangay officials who were also present during the event. Duterte’s oppenness to clean energy lauded VILLANUEVA, Misamis Oriental -- The Climate Reality Project Philippines (Climate Reality), a global movement founded by Nobel laureate and former United States vice president Al Gore, lauds President Rodrigo Duterte’s statement on renewable energy potentials of the country during the inauguration
of Misamis Oriental coal thermal plant. “We are glad that the president recognizes the importance the availability and potentials of renewable energy in the country,” Rodne Galicha, country manager of Climate Reality and director of Ecoteneo of the Ateneo de Davao University.
In his speech, President Duterte stressed that there is still a need to utilize coal for energy for the country to catch-up with other countries to develop, however, he also emphasized that the “second and third generation will suffer, would still suffer if we are not really able to utilize, what I would say, the solar and the wind...”

DTI-10 opens 15th, 16th Negosyo Centers CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY -- In its continuous efforts in carrying its mandate of enabling the Micro, small and medium entreprises (MSMEs) in Northern Mindanao, the Department of Trade and Industry – Region 10 launched two more Negosyo Centers in Lanao del Norte on September 16, 2016. Located in the municipalities of Kapatagan and Lala, the launching of these Negosyo Centers marked the 15th and 16th in the region, and 289th and 290th in the country, respectively, since the implementation of Republic Act 10644, otherwise known as the “Go Negosyo Act” in 2014, authored by Senator Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino. MARAWI CITY -- The Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Regional Office 10 forged an agreement to safeguard the watershed areas within the Lake Lanao River Basin. The memorandum of agreement (MoA) for the implementation of the Integrated Natural Resources and Environmental Management Project (INREMP) was signed on September 21 by Provincial Governor Soraya Adiong and DENR-10 Regional Director Ruth Tawantawan in Quezon City. The delegation was welcomed by Ms. Cinderella Garcia, Administrative and Training Section Chief of the QC-DRRMO, who provided an orientation on the different services provided by the DRRMO. Ms. Marinella Bono from the QC Business Permit and Licensing Office also provided a talk on how QC improved its service time in processing business permits thus improving its revenue collection. the Oro Computer-Aided Emergency Response Center (OCA-ERC) aims to provide access to people in order to obtain immediate emergency assistance. Monsanto emphasized that it is normal for people to extend help especially during emergencies yet most of them do not have the capability to do so. Hence, the government has come up with something where people can easily call and attain assistance. Current response team At present, the city government sends out various teams to respond to certain
incidents such as the police for law enforcement, ambulance or health professionals for medical emergencies, resources of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) during fires and rescue team for other incidents.
