Bomb scares continue to disrupt classes DAVAO CITY -- The days after the explosion at the Roxas night market last Sept. 2, some pranksters continue to send messages of bomb scare resulting to disruption of classes in Davao schools.

‘Killer waterfall’ claims 7th victim CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY -- A so-called “killer waterfall” in Bukidnon claimed its seventh victim - a 20-year-old Medical Technology student on Sunday. A police report reaching here identified the victim as Venus Alicante Pasco, a graduating Med Tech student in Mountain View College in Valencia, Bukidnon. Carlos Arganio, vice president for student affairs of the Mountain View College (MVC), said that Pasco asked permission to go home last Sunday to her relatives in the village of Tandacul, Lilingayan, Bukidnon. Arganio said that Pasco was an intern student at the MVC where she lived in a dormitory, but was permitted to leave. The body of Pasco was recovered only Monday after it went missing Sunday while frolicking at the “Kumakaon” (Gorger) Waterfalls together with 10 other classmates, the police said. Rommel Ramos, a companion of the victim, said that the group agreed for a picnic at the Waterfalls, a two hour drive from the school campus. See claims, page B3

The Depar tment of Education (DepEd) here has recorded six public schools, which received bomb threats last week, said DepEd spokesperson Jenielito Atillo, who however said no explosive has

been found in the schools. Atillo said that the bomb scare on the public elementary and secondary schools started after the bloody blast in the Roxas night market last Sept. 2 that killed 14 people and injured 70 oth-
