IN VIEW of Proclamation No. 55 issued on September 4, 2016, declaring a state of national emergency on account of lawless violence, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Camiguin Provincial Officer is imposing a 60-day Price Freeze on basic necessities and prime commodities.

Pursuant to Section 6 of Republic Act No. 7581, The Price Act, as amended, prices of basic necessities are automatically frozen at their prevailing prices or place under automatic price control.

In t he prov i nc e of Camiguin, as soon as the declaration was made, the consumer welfare division (CWD) visited business establishments, talked to the owners and managers, provided all copy of the memorandum on prize freeze and Proclamation No. 55 series of 2016.

THE City Government of Davao warmly welcomed the 120 candidates of the Miss Earth beauty pageant who visited the city on Thursday.

The city is the candidates’ home for a week.

Gene Rose Tecson, chief of the City Tourism Operations Office, said the candidates will experience first-hand Davao’s slogan, “Life is here.”

“This is an opportunity for them to experience our city and enjoy the things that we truly own and really take pride in,” she said.

Tecson said the visit is definitely a tourism event.

“It will also mean income generation for the city and would further

promote Davao as one of the prime investment and tourism destinations in the country,” she said.

The candidates will tour the city and the nearby Island Garden City of Samal.

In Lanao del Norte, Gov. Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo will lead the province’s officials in welcoming the cadidates on October 16, 2016, who will stay until the 17th in the province.

University calls for submission on literary anthology CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY -- Under the Southern Skies: Northern Mindanao Literary Anthology is now accepting works in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, scheduled for publication in December 2017.

The anthology is open to both established and emerging writers (1) who live in Northern Mindanao, (2) who live elsewhere but grew up in Northern Mindanao, or (3) have spent a good period of time in Northern Mindanao enough to inspire memories and feelings.

God wants us to be united always The Gospel of Jesus Christ (October14, 2016-Friday) Mark 10:1-12- And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away [his] wife? Tempting him.

And he answered and said unto them, what did Moses command you?

And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put [her] away:

This is the mentality of some Pharisees that divorce was acceptable to their times and you know what, this is the mentality of many people especially in foreign countries that “divorce is a law already.”Remember, “Matrimony” is one of the 7 sacraments. This means that “marriage life is a very sacred commitment” of both husband

and wife. In fact, Jesus proved it in our gospel for today. And Jesus answered and said unto them, for the “hardness of your heart” he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and leave to his wife; and they twain shall be one flesh: so

then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Take note, civil marriage is not a divine union but only a human union. You need to receive the sacrament of matrimony for you to be united with God. Driving a vehicle without a license is illegal.

Education dept urged to build green schools

Committee on Finance Chairperson Senator Loren Legarda has reminded the Department of Education (DepEd) to ensure that classroom being built to address the classroom shortage are climate-resilient.

Legarda reiterated his call during the recent hearing on the proposed 2017 budget of the education department.

In last year’s DepEd budget, the Senator has introduced special provisions requiring the establishment of vegetable

gardens, rainwater collection systems, and material recovery facilities (MRFs) in all public schools.

She explained: “We want to build not just school buildings, but green schools that are climate- and disaster-resilient. Aside from being safe, we want these schools to be innovative and environment-friendly by putting up rainwater catchment systems, growing vegetable gardens, using renewable energy and setting up a recycling program, among others.”

“The DepEd should look into its unobligated funds and check with the Commission on Audit if such funds can be used for the restoration of Gabaldon buildings,” said Legarda.

Milo the official DepEd partner as one of the school stake holder visited Maramag Central Elementary School last October 11, 2016, 8:00 AM at Maramag Central Elementary School Mini Gym. As annual visit and to share their product to the pupils. It was participated by pupils with the age bracket of 7 to 12 years old these are the grade 2 up to grade 6 pupils. The Milo champ with their crew were prepared with

different interesting activities were pupils enjoyed much and they also taught the pupils the milo champ moves .Pupils participated were given a milo medal as a reward.

After the activities all the pupils were given a milo kit and a milo drink .Everybody were happy that they were a part of the said activities. The Milo team were appreciated the cooperation of all the MCES teaching and non-teaching staff.

Learners are unique individuals. They have different learning styles. Three of the common learning styles are visual, auditory and kinesthetic. Each of this style has characteristics. Visual learners prefer to observe rather than to act or talk. They love to read. But, they find difficult on verbal instructions. Hence, classroom activities like role play, debate, and reporting are not interesting for them.

Auditory learners enjoy talking and love listening activities. This type of

Afterall, no one will do this to our learners except us teachers. XI​ was the Assistant Regional Director of DPWHRegion 12 based in Koronadal City.

Engr. Borromeo is also a seasoned engineer of the DPWH who rose from the ranks starting as laborer at the then MPWH Cagayan de Oro City Sub-District Engineering Office on October 5, 1985. He was promoted to Engineer II and because of good performance he was promoted to head the Construction Division on August 10, 2010. He was sent to various trainings but the most notable of which was his training for Comprehensive Bridge Engineering held in Tokyo, Japan and the On-line Electronic Procurement (transport) held in Manila. He became the OIC-District Engineer of the now DPWH Cagayan de Oro City 2nd District Engineering Office. It was not long that he passed both the CESO and DPWH Promotional Examinations.

He became a full-fledged

District Engineer on January 11, 2013.

He obtained his Doctorate in Management in the University of San Jose Recoletos, Cebu City. He completed two Master’s Degrees in Management and Management Engineering.

Under DPWH Special Order No. 148, he was assigned as the OIC-Assistant Regional Director in the DPWH-Region 12 based in Koronadal City on August 2, 2013. He became a full-fledged ARD on July 9, 2015, also in Region 12.

During the turn-over, RD Borromeo asked the same cooperation from the District Engineer, staff and rank and file employees of region eleven. The same cooperation that made DPWH-XI a consistent top performer in the implementation of infra projects nationwide.

RD Mariano R. Alquiza, on the other hand turned over to the incoming Director the DPWH banner, key and books of accounts.

He profusely thanked all the district engineers, assistant district engineers, division chiefs and the rank and file for their unwavering cooperation during his more than 4 years as regional director here in region eleven.

RD Alquiza left a lasting legacy of good management that he has made the regional office a by-name in infra implementation having topped the annual infra implementation several times.

Alquiza during his stint generated an unprecedented sense of work culture on the employees that can only be summarized as the best.

For instance, the MAGOKS (Magandang Opisina, Kalsada at Sistema) not only systematized the operational system of the district officer and the regional office as well but also brought

by DTI-Camiguin and those found selling above the prevailing prices could face fines of up to P1 million or imprisonment for a maximum of 10 years.

K to 12: Its implementation over the years

K to 12 Basic Education program has long been implemented since the very period Department of Education agreed with the pilot implementation at the University of Makati (UMak).

But it seems that there are still people who cannot understand the good cause of K to 12 and its effects in the years to come.

K to 12 is created because of different reasons, these are the following: 1. To provide advanced education among students.

This is top pf the reasons why K to 12 is here today. It is because the government wants a high quality education to its constituents. If anyone could observe, Senior High School program of K to 12 offers tracks where students can choose their area of expertise and master it. One of the problems in education in this generation is the learning of everything and master of nothing that could cause confusion among individuals as to where they belong.

quick glance at the menu once again would give you a hint – spicy shrimp linguine, grilled chicken salad, Vigan longganisa, creamy chicken marsala, pesto fettucine. In short, it’s a melting of culinary cultures.

“We just want to create a place for people

to hang out, relax, chitchat and dine in good food,” Khoki says. The interiors alone can attest to that. The minimal black and white colors are designed so they can easily change according to season. Valentines?
