The definition itself implies many views for some mathematicians. Some people don’t believe that Mathematics is essential to living a modern life. Conventional math teachers often do not inspire students with the appreciation for the beauty of mathematics, instead teaching by memorization. Some students fail to progress in a math class and

even feel stupid and avoid math as much as possible. I enjoyed teaching math anyway, but my serious interest in the subject didn’t come out until I was encouraged by the best teacher I ever had, he was a brilliant mathematical mind, he was so far advanced. With him, I was inspired to be globally competitive and incline with the new technology. Math is no longer simply an inimical subject in and of itself, rather its integration into multiple aspects of everyday life in the 21st century. The use of technology makes it necessary to

show students how it can be integrated with other subjects. MANY people recognize that each person prefers different learning styles and techniques. Learning styles group common ways that people learn. Everyone has a mix of learning styles. Some people may find that they have a dominant style of learning with far less use of the other styles. Others may find that they use different styles in different circumstances. There is no right mix. Nor are your styles fixed. You can develop ability in less dominant styles as well as further develop styles that you already use well.

Using multiple learning styles and multiple intelligences for learning is a relatively new approach. This approach is one that educators have only recently started to recognize. Traditional schooling used (and continues to use) mainly linguistic and logical teaching methods. It also uses a limited range of learning and teaching techniques. Many schools still rely on classroom and bookbased teaching, much reputation and pressured exams for reinforcement and review. By recognizing and understanding your own learning styles, you can use techniques better suited to you. This improves the speed and quality of your learning.

CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2016-358 (Author: Honorable Maphilindo Q. Obaob) “AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING PROTECTION FOR CHILDREN AT RISK IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL THE EXISTING LAWS THAT PROTECT CHILDREN AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF” WHEREAS, it is the policy of the state to provide special protection to children from all forms of abuse, neglect, cruelty, exploitation and discrimination, and other conditions prejudicial to their development; WHEREAS, the best interest of children shall be the paramount consideration in all actions concerning them, thus, every effort shall be exerted to promote their welfare and enhance their opportunities for a useful and happy life; WHEREAS, the increasing number of street children has resulted to the rampant commission of offenses by juvenile delinquents and accelerated the cases of teenage pregnancy; WHEREAS, pursuant to the natural right and duty of parents over the person of their unemancipated children, parental authority and responsibility shall include the caring for and rearing of children for civic consciousness and efficiency and the development of their moral, mental, and physical character and well-being; Now, therefore, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the Pagadian City in session assembled do ordain, as it hereby ordains that: SECTION 1. Title. – This ordinance shall be known as “An Ordinance Providing Protection for Children At Risk in Accordance with all the Existing Laws that Protect Children and Providing Penalties for Violation Thereof.” SECTION 2. Definition of Terms. – (a) “Children”- refers to persons below eighteen (18) years of age and those unable to fully take care of themselves from abuse, neglect, cruelty, exploitation or discrimination because of a physical or mental disability or condition (As provided by R.A. 7610); (b) “Conditions Prejudicial to the Child’s Development”- refers to the commission by any parent or guardian of acts prejudicial to the child’s development including those covered by Article 59 of PD No. 603 otherwise known as the Child and Youth Welfare Code, such as but not limited to: 1. abandoning the child under such circumstances as to deprive him of the love, care and protection he needs; 2. causing, abetting, or permitting the truancy of the child from the school where he is enrolled. “Truancy” as here used means absence from school without cause for more than twenty (20) school days, not necessarily consecutive; 3. improperly exploiting the child by using him directly or indirectly, for purposes such as but not limited to begging and such other acts which are inimical to his interest and welfare; 4. causing or encouraging the child to lead an immoral or dissolute life; 5. permitting the child to possess, handle or carry a deadly weapon, regardless of its ownership; (c) “Protection Services”- refers to the rescue and recovery of children at risk who are found to be wandering on the streets, public places, and other places other than their respective houses especially between the times specified in this ordinance. SECTION 3. Protection for Children. – Children are required to be in their respective homes with their parents or guardians between the hours of 10:00 in the evening until 4:00 in the morning. SECTION 4. Exemptions. – The following instances and circumstances shall be exempt from the coverage of this ordinance: (a) Children who are outside their houses during the time specified but are accompanied by their respective parents/ guardians; (b) Children who are compelled to go outside their houses for emergency reasons during, but not limited to, the occurrence of fire, earthquake, or other disasters or calamities; (c) Children who are out to go to or come from their respective schools should they be enrolled in night classes provided they can show valid certification/justification; (d) Students/children who participate in various events like scholastic, political, religious, barangay and other related activities. (e) The Sangguniang Panlungsod through a resolution, may temporarily suspend the implementation of this ordinance in specific barangays during the following special events: (e.1) Annual Fiesta/Araw of the barangay concerned. (e.2) Annual Fiesta/Araw of the purok concerned. SECTION 5. Procedure for the Implementation of Protection Services. – Children found outside their homes in the absence of their parents or guardians shall immediately be taken under the custody of the implementing authorities concerned, to be delivered immediately and be assessed by the CSWDO for the appropriate measures to be conducted which shall either be to: (a) Return the children to their respective parents or guardians; (b) Place the children in appropriate institutions if needed. SECTION 6. Exclusion. – The implementation this Ordinance shall not apply to the specific dates and/or observance of the following occasions/celebrations, to wit: (a) Valentine’s day (b) Holy Thursday (c) Good Friday (d) October 31 and November 1 (All Saints Day) (e) December 24 and 25 (Christmas Day) (f) December 31 (New Year’s Eve) (g) January 1 (New Year’s Day) (h) City & Provincial Government Activities SECTION 7. The preceding provisions above-specified shall be applicable 24/7 when children are roaming the streets obviously without parental/ guardian’s supervision and the corresponding sanctions provided in Section 7 hereof shall be meted out to parent/guardian violators. SECTION 8. Implementing Authorities- The implementation of the Protection Services shall be performed by the following; (a) Barangay Council for the Protection of children (BCPC); (b) Barangay Officials within their territorial jurisdictions; (c) Pagadian City Philippine National Police (PNP) Office; (d) Pagadian City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO); (e) City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO). SECTION 9. Sanctions for Parents or Guardians (a) For the First offense, the parents or guardians concerned will receive a formal warning & undergo counseling; (b) For the Second offense, the parents or guardians concerned may opt to voluntarily submit a deed of undertaking for them to render community service of Four (4) hours. Failure of the subject parents/guardians to do so within will warrant the filing of appropriate charges against them in pursuant to the provision of Section 10 of R.A. 7610. (c) For the Third Offense, the parents or guardians concerned may now be sued under the provisions of Section 10, Article VI of R.A. 7610 providing for “Other Acts of Neglect, Abuse, Cruelty, or Exploitation and Other Conditions Prejudicial to the Child’s Development.” SECTION 10. Effectivity. – This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon the approval of the City Mayor. WHEREAS, the quality of these petroleum fuels are unknown as they are sold in unlabeled or mislabeled bottles or plastic containers and the retailers themselves do not know whether the petroleum fuel they are selling have passed the international standards on toxic emissions nor do they know if the same is compatible for use on modern vehicles; WHEREAS, there is a need for the City Government to enact an ordinance to control the sale of unlabelled or mislabeled petroleum for the protection of the community from fire, toxic emissions and machinery breakdown; NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained as it is hereby ordained, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Pagadian City, in a regular session assembled, that: SECTION 1. This Ordinance shall be known as “An Ordinance Prohibiting the Sale of Unlabelled/ Mislabeled Petroleum Products in the City of Pagadian and Providing for Penalties for Violation Thereof.” SECTION 2. Definition of Terms: (a) Petroleum Products refers to all petroleum products regularly sold in duly permitted Gasoline/Fuel Stations such as gasoline, diesel, kerosene, crude oil, other machine fuels, brake fluid, power steering fluids, gear oil and all other products which are derivatives from petroleum. (b) Unlabelled Petroleum Products refer to all petroleum fuels, oil and other petroleum derivatives which are repacked in glass or plastic bottles or containers which are unlabelled or without a brand name or other product information in the repacked container. (c) Mislabeled Petroleum Products refer to all petroleum fuels, oil and other petroleum derivatives which are repacked in glass or plastic bottles or containers which are labeled as any product other than petroleum product. (d) Unpermitted or Unlicensed Petroleum Retailers refer to any person who sell petroleum products in retail or in bulk and who have not secured any business permit from the City Government of Pagadian or license from the Department of Energy and doing business within the territorial jurisdiction of the City of Pagadian. (e) Bulk Sale Petroleum Products refer to any sale petroleum products above 200 liters. (f) Bulk Transport of Petroleum Products refer to the transporting of petroleum products in excess of 200 liters either by the use of the road network or by sea. (g) Legitimacy of Purchase refers to petroleum products bought from a permitted or license gasoline station and is covered with receipt of purchase from such gas station. SECTION 3. City Business Permit and Department of Energy License Required. – It is hereby declared prohibited for any person to sell anywhere within the territorial jurisdiction of the City of Pagadian any petroleum products or its derivatives for vehicle use, whether in retail or in bulk in the absence of a Business Permit issued by the City Government of Pagadian and the required license to sell from the Department of Energy. SECTION 4. Any person using a road vehicle or sea vessel transporting the aforementioned petroleum products in bulk bound for the City of Pagadian must use containers duly certified by the Department of Energy. SECTION 5. Coverage of items Prohibited. – The sale of Unlabelled or Mislabeled petroleum products or its derivatives are prohibited to wit: (a) Gasoline; (b) Diesel; (c) Kerosene; (d) crude oil; (e) other engine oils; (f) gear oil; (g) brake fluid; (h) power steering fluid; (i) or any petroleum derivative to be used in vehicles, whether road vehicles, sea going vehicles or airplanes. SECTION 6. The above enumerated petroleum products when offered for sale or being transported in bulk by unpermitted or unlicensed persons without proof of legitimacy of purchase are hereby declared to be nuisance per se and thus may be confiscated and/or impounded outright by the authorities. The same may be released upon presentation of receipt of purchase within 24 hours from apprehension or impoundment. SECTION 7. Exempted from the bulk transport of petroleum products in plastic containers are those purchased by and bound for use by fishing fleets, common carrier such as jeepneys vans, and bus fleets and construction firms. And thus a maximum purchase of 10 liters of petroleum products for use within the rural areas. To fall under this exception, the transporter must present the receipt of purchase from a legitimate gas station or gas depot. Petroleum lorries only passing the streets of Pagadian City and bound for other municipalities are also exempted. SECTION 8. Authorized Apprehending Authorities. – The following government personnel are authorized to apprehend or arrest violators and impound or confiscate the contraband petroleum products, to wit: (a) members of the Philippine National Police stationed in the City of Pagadian; (b) members of the Bureau of the Fire Protection stationed in the City of Pagadian; (c) duly appointed Environment and Natural Resources Office personnel; (d) duly appointed Traffic Management personnel; (e) duly appointed personnel of the City Disaster Risk Management Office; (f) Barangay Officials and Tanods. SECTION 9. Safekeeping of confiscated/impounded petroleum products. – The City government shall designate a specific place, far from residential areas, to store confiscated or impounded petroleum products. Where possible, confiscated or impounded petroleum products shall be housed in sealed petroleum drums. The Environment and Natural Resources Office (ENRO) is hereby tasked to design and see to it that no seepage of petroleum products shall mar the deposit site. SECTION 10. Any person or persons found violating this Ordinance shall be meted out with the following penalties, to wit: (a) For First Offense: A Citation Ticket shall be issued by the apprehending authority to the violator stipulating, among others, the personal circumstances of the person/s apprehended and the total number of glass or plastic bottles or containers or total volume of Unlabeled or Mislabeled petroleum products or its derivatives. The violator shall also be required to sign a Deed of Undertaking not to repeat the offense. The petroleum products or its derivatives including its containers which have been confiscated shall be forfeited in favor of the City Government. Should the violator refused to sign the Deed of Undertaking, he/she shall be prosecuted and the penalty of one (1) month imprisonment or a fine of Five Thousand (P5,000.00) Pesos or both, at the discretion of the court, shall be meted out. For this purpose, any motor vehicles or sea vessels used in transporting the Unlabeled or Mislabeled petroleum products or its derivatives shall be impounded and shall only be released upon payment of a corresponding penalty for the violation in the amount of Five Hundred (P500.00) Pesos plus an impounding fee of Twenty Pesos (P20.00) Per Day: (b) For Second Offense: A Citation Ticket shall be issued by the apprehending authority to the violator stipulating, among others, the personal circumstances of the person/s apprehended and the total number of glass or plastic bottles or containers or total volume of Unlabeled or Mislabeled petroleum products or its derivatives. The violator shall also be required to sing a Deed of Undertaking not to repeat the offense. The petroleum products or its derivatives including its containers which have been confiscated shall be forfeited in favor of the City Government. Should the violator refused to sign the Deed of Undertaking, he/she shall be prosecuted and the penalty of five (5) months imprisonment or a fine of Five Thousand (P5,000.00) Pesos or both, at the discretion of the court, shall be meted out. For this purpose, any motor vehicles or sea vessels used in transporting the Unlabeled or Mislabeled petroleum products or its derivatives shall be impounded and shall only be released upon payment of the corresponding penalty for the violation in the amount of Seven Hundred Fifty (P750.00) Pesos plus an impounding fee of Thirty Pesos (P30.00) Per Day. (c) For Third offense: A Citation Ticket shall be issued by the apprehending authority to the violator stipulating, among others, the personal circumstances of the person/s apprehended and the total number of glass or plastic bottles or containers or total volume of Unlabeled or Mislabeled petroleum products or its derivatives. The violator shall then be prosecuted and the penalty of one (1) year imprisonment or a fine of Five Thousand (P5,000.00) Pesos or both, at the discretion of the court, shall be meted out. The petroleum products or its derivatives including its containers which have been confiscated shall be forfeited in favor of the City Government. The motor vehicles or sea vessels used in transporting the Unlabeled or Mislabeled petroleum products or its derivatives shall be impounded and shall only be released upon payment of the corresponding penalty for the violation in the amount of One Thousand (P1,000.00) Pesos plus an impounding fee of Forty Pesos (P40.00) Per Day. SECTION 11. Disposal of forfeited petroleum products. – Forfeited petroleum products shall be stored at the place of storage for seven (7) working days after which the same shall be disposed as follows: (a) The forfeited petroleum product may be released to government agencies for official use only. No privately owned vehicle, even if owned by a government employee shall benefit on the use of these items. (b) Notice of availability of petroleum products for use shall be issued to the CMO, PNP, BFD, City Engineers Office, City Health Office, Traffic Division, City Disaster Risk Management Office and such other offices determined by the City Mayor; (c) A responsive Notice to Avail shall be sent to the depot specifying the volume required by the interested office; (d) No withdrawal of petroleum products shall be done unless the withdrawal is fully documented. SECTION 12. Separability Clause. – Any provisions hereof that may be declared by any competent court to be invalid shall not affect the rest of the provisions not so declared illegal. SECTION 13. Repealing Clause. – All existing Ordinances inconsistent with any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed repealed or modified accordingly. SECTION 14. Effectivity. – This Ordinance shall take effect Thirty (30) days after publication. served equally. School-wide rules and regulation must be well implemented to assert equality and recognize rights of each individual. A good teacher should be always fully prepared before going to the class. Should always have a positive attitude and should always be ready to help students with all their needs. Should plan lessons in accord to the curriculum expectations with well-planned, full of excitement, interest, knowledge so with needs and fun. A Good teacher is a Good pupil. “A teacher is like a light-house which shows the right path to people in darkness” A good teacher is a good person. A Good Teacher is always: T = Truthful E = Encouraging A = Available C = Creative H = Hopeful E = Enthusiastic R = Ready. The role of teachers is very noble. They involve themselves in moulding their pupils into responsible citizens thus contributing in the nation building activity. Teachers are great contributors to the society at large. This is because they engage

in this selfless service without expecting anything in return from the students. The mother is always the first teacher followed by the teachers in your school/ college/ university. Teachers enlighten the mind of the students by providing them the gift of education that helps them in their life. Essentially they teach very impressionable young people the way life is. They can share through experiences, they can share through explanation about the things they are teaching, and they can also help children excel socially and academically in an environment. Teachers ought to be contented d of what the government gave and does and extra mile as expected by doing so every good thing comes beyond someone’s expectation. We’re all passing in this life only legacy if we’ve any that lingers and it’ll serve as our testimony as to what kind of teachers we are.

As the Republican Party rejoices, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), an extremist group that advocates white nationalism and anti-immigration, also celebrates and plans for ‘victory parade’ in December. This is alarming. The next ‘most powerful man’ on earth is a white supremacist, generalist and ethnocentric. He was
