DAVAO City––The Makabayan Bloc in Congress will file charges against outgoing President Benigno S. Aquino III and some of his appointees for technical malversation, the Disburse-

DAVAO City––Dozens of farmers in the province of Sultan Kudarat urged incoming Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol and President-elect Rodrigo Duterte to investigate the controversy surrounding the distribution of the lowgerminating white corn seeds worth millions of pesos. In May this year, dozens of farmers were given seeds as part of the government’s El Niño mitigation program, but they decided not to use the OPV white corn seeds PSB Cn 93-27 (USM Var 10) after learning its low germination rate. The farmers said the seed were allegedly distributed by Department of Agriculture Regional Executive Director Amalia Datukan of Region 11.
