Army has new ERC urged to hold public hearing 4ID commander in Oro on Cepalco-Minergy deal

CAGAYAN de Oro City–– Brig. Gen. Ricardo R. Visaya is the new commander of the Philippine Army 4th Infantry Division based in Camp Evangelista, Cagayan de Oro City.

INSTEAD of holding the public hearing regarding the petition for power supply agreement between the Cagayan de Oro Electric Power and Light Company (Cepalco) and Minergy Coal Corporation in Manila, councilors urged the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) to hold the activity in Cagayan de Oro City. This was contained in Resolution No 11454-2013 adopted by the 17th City
Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Caesar Ian E. Acenas. The resolution was authored by Councilor Teodulfo Lao, chair of the committee on energy. He said the public hearing was supposed to be held August 2 but was rescheduled on August 16. See deal, page 11
