To focus public attention in the conservation of marine turtles, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Camiguin and the Municipal Local Government Unit of Mambajao launched the Pawikan Conservation Program at the barangays of Baylao and Kuguita, Mambajao, Camiguin recently. PENRO Belen Daba highlighted the importance of Pawikan and its habitat, the environmental significance of marine turtles and its threats under Republic Act (RA) 9147 or the Wildlife Conservation Act during SCAVENGERS. Mining firm spearheaded river clean up, tree planting
ZAMBOANGA City - A mining firm on Friday, March 21 spearheaded an another round of river clean-up and tree planting in Barangay Vitali, 73 kilometers east of this city.
