Cynthia Villar Ranks No. 4 in the latest Pulse Asia survey covering the period of February 24 to February 28, 2013. The three-time congresswoman, who has gained the moniker “Misis Hanep Buhay” due to her programs giving jobs to poor Filipinos through her livelihood projects, was also No. 4 in the SWS survey last February 15 to 17. Villar obtained 44.0 percent of votes in the latest Pulse Asia survey. She thanked the Filipino people
for their continuous support and trust and confidence in her programs and advocacies that she wants to bring on a national scope. NGCP upgrades facilities to support new coal plant
THE National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) completed last January 21 a transmission project that will support the establishment of a new power plant in Mariveles, Bataan. The project, called the Mariveles Coal Transmission Reinforcement Project, and with an estimated cost of P229 Million, caters to GN Power Ltd.’s new coal-fired generation facility, which will add 600 megawatts (MW) capacity to the grid. NGCP, the country’s sole electric transmission service provider, undertook the project to accommodate the additional capacity from GN Power, and also serve Pan Asia power plant located in Limay, Bataan. plant | page 10
