AS the country looks forward to re-opening its economy amidst the pandemic, the prospects in Mindanao are looking increasingly bright. “Mindanao business is not yet back 100 percent but a lot of businesses in the manufacturing sector have continued operating and in fact, have increased their capacity from 50 percent during the ECQ to 75 percent today as can be seen our peak load in power consumption rising back to 1,200-1,300 megawatts (MW), just a bit lower than pre-Covid levels,” said Ma. However, Alegrio said the business sector needs government intervention to make these prospects even brighter with a slew of proposed measures aimed at helping it recover, especially distressed companies which they will

Malungon urges LGUs to use digital system in contact tracing C A G AYA N D E O R O CITY, Sep. 9 (PIA)--To fast track monitoring of people’s movement aiding to strengthened contact tracing in the area, the Local Government of Malungon urges local government units (LGUs) to make use of electronic or digital tracking system as what they use thru the Malungon Tracking Data and Control (MTDC) system. “Ang Malungon Tracking Data and Control system ay isang major initiative sa contact tracing sa Malungon and very timely ang pag-launch nito dahil palapit nang palapit na ang local transmission sa aming bayan,” Mayor Maria Theresa Constantino said during the daily Network Briefing News with Communications Sec. BOC-10 turns over hydrochloric acid to PDEA
OVER 320 drums of hydrochloric acid has been turned-over by the Bureau of Customs Port of Cagayan de Oro to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 10 (PDEA 10) on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Mindanao Container Terminal Sub-port, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental. The hydrochloric acid is a precursor chemical for the manufacture of methamphetamine hydrochloride or ‘shabu’.

MISAMIS ORIENTAL: Two regular employees of the provincial capitol in Misamis Oriental have been tested positive of COVID-19, provincial governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano said Tuesday. Emano made the announcement Tuesday morning as he instructed the
provincial health office to disinfect all the provincial offices at the provincial capitol compound in Gen. Juan Luna St. , Cagayan de Oro City.
