El Salvador City shines in Asenso Mindanao debut By MARK FRANCISCO

D N Te l e r a d y o’s ne west magazine show Asenso Mindanao streamed its pilot episode last Saturday with El Salvador City in Misamis Oriental as its very first featured local government unit (LGU).
According to Asenso Mindanao segment producer Ernesto Ayudan Sr., the program was initiated to make LGUs all over the island reachable to its constituents. Ayudan added that they specifically chose El Salvador City to be featured in their maiden offering See SHINES, page 19

Police in El Salvador City conduct weekly anti-drug ops By GERRY LEE GORIT
EL Salvador City, Misamis Oriental--Aside from helping local health workers in the containment of Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), the local police here still managed to conduct a weekly anti-drug operations. Police Major Patrick Baja Dalamgin, chief of El Salvador City Police Office, said the local police despite their busy schedule managed to arrest a certain Maria Antonia Baybason, 36. Dalamgin said Baybayon was arrested on September 1 for qualified theft with recommended bailbond of P20,000. He said his men also arrested a certain Rogelio Ocampo Abadejos, a DIlisted personality. Aside from Covid-19 free, all the 15 barangays of the city of El Salvador are declared drug-free. See OPS, page 19
NGO leads clean up drive in CdO river
CAGAYAN de Oro — A multi-sectoral group has bonded together to the call of clearing unwanted debris and garbage wastes along the banks of Cagayan de Oro River. The group composed of well-meaning members of the Knights of Columbus Council 14370, Holy Cross de Nazarene, residents
of Balongis and Balulang, and River Star Aggregates owned and operated by Dr. Dondon Salingay, DM rolled up their sleeves together and collected more than 46 kilos of assorted wastes like plastics, cellophane, diapers, floor mats, cloth, candy wrappers among others. Their joint community volunteer work of cleaning
up the river bank was in line with the global celebration of the International Clean Up Day done every third Sunday of September every year.
