SAN FRANCISO, Agusan del Sur--Local transmissions of Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) that already
swept three towns and a city in this province have put local officials in a quandary of trying to stop the spread of the dreaded pandemic disease.
Mayors in the municipalities of San Francisco, Bunawan, Loreto have already declared their respected towns under modified enhanced general community
quarantine (MECQ) to control movements of residents going out of their homes amid intensive contract tracing activities. The city of Bayugan
which the Department of Health Caraga region has confirmed a local transmission on Wednesday has yet to declare a MECQ status. Three residents, one each
in San Francisco, Trento and Bayugan City, have died since the onset of the local transmission in the fourth week of September.
