24 former NPA rebels get free housing units

AMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City: Twenty-four former communist New People’s Army (NPA) were awarded free housing units, part of the terms of surrender offered by the government, the military said Friday.
Seven of the 24 former NPA members came from Cagayan de Oro City while the 17 others came from Bukidnon, the military said. Maj. Francisco Garello, Jr. the military spokesperson here, said that seven surrenderers were awarded housing units located in CDO Midland Valley Homes in Dansolihon, Cagayan De Oro City. He said that the 17 others were awarded housing units located in Pineville, San Jose, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The government, through the Office of the Office of
the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) awarded Certificates of Entitlement of Housing Units to the former MPA rebels. According to Garello, the awarding of the housing units was in faithful compliance with the commitments of the government as reinforced by the Clarificatory Implementing Document to the 2000 Peace Agreement. Indigent senior citizen to get pensions every quarter in 2022

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: The indigent senior citizens in the country would get their P 500 monthly social pensions every quarter starting 2022, a lawmaker said Thursday. CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Phil. National Police (PNP) will not implement a revamp of personnel, said the PNP chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos on Thursday Nov 25. 2021. There will be no revamp. CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Misamis Oriental is now ready to draft a legislation that would support the proposal of Misamis Oriental
1st District Rep. Christian Unabia to convert the provincial hospital in Gingoog City into a regional hospital. “This is going to be huge project,” said Board Member Gerardo Sabal III of the
proposal. He said Unabia was the one who conceptualized the project adding that it is already on the second reading at the Lower House. “When we were informed by Cong. Unabia about it, we get to work right away,”
