YMCA: CA used quakes to expedite transfer By MARK FRANCISCO Correspondent
WHEN a series of four earthquakes that began in October struck Mindanao, the Court of Appeals’ occupancy lease with YMCA Cagayan de Oro, Inc was already up for renewal.
The quakes merely gave the justices excuse to question the structural integrity of YMCA Building along Julio Pacana St. and transfer to a more modernized premises. Thus surmised YMCA Cagayan de Oro, Inc. board secretary Sol Marie Ucab in an interview Wednesday even as a team from the Office of the Building Official (OBO) was in the area to conduct an inspection. The inspection was commissioned by the city government after CA Mindanao Executive Justice Edgardo Camello himself wrote City Hall and reported that there were cracks found in the NGCP ENERGIZES 300MVA TRANSFORMERS AT TORIL SUBSTATION. NGCP successfully energized 300MVA four levels of the building Transformers 1 and 2 in its Toril Substation, a part of the Mindanao 230kV Backbone Project. Suspension of classes in Kadingilan extended By DIVINA M. SUSON Correspondent
ILIGAN City--The local government of Kadingilan in the province of Bukidnon extended the suspension of classes until November 22 in all levels in public and private schools following the recommendation of its local disaster risk reduction and management council.
