HE city government of Iligan is now in the thick of negotiations with a bevy of investors who have expressed interest in reviving the moribund National Steel Corporation (NSC) plant, once the Philippines largest steel manufacturing plant. While there appears to be sufficient electricity in the Mindanao Power Grid as of this time to power both planned integrated steel mills in Iligan and the
Phividec Industrial Estate in Misamis Oriental, the present price of electricity appears to be one of the sticking points which has extended the negotiations
