Fake ‘frontliner’ robs hospital in Bukidnon

AMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City: A fake “frontliner” was arrested on suspicion of robbing a hospital in Bukidnon with a cash amount of P 59,250.
In a report to the police regional office here Saturday, the suspect was identified as Janroy Labita y Lagdao, 29, single, of Purok 3B, Can-ayan, Malaybalay City. Malaybalay Chief of Police L/Col. Jerry A. Tambis, said that the police investigators recovered P 55,000 of various denomination from the suspect. The amount is already short of P4,250 cash, Tambis said. Tambis said that the CCTV footage showed the
suspect wearing the frontliner’s “personal protective equipment” (PPE) when he destroyed and emptied the hospital’s vault about 8:44 in the evening on May 18, 2021. On May 19, 2021, the hospital cashier Jovelyn Gamao y Realda, 52, reported to the police that the vault located in the hospital’s medical director was destroyed with the cash amount of P 59,250 missing. GENERAL SANTOS CITY — Officials here announced Monday that the city is back to the general community quarantine (GCQ) status in fighting the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic starting 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, 25 May, until 30 June 2021. Under the new classification, malls and department stores will be closed except for groceries and supermarkets and other essential stores while cockfighting, nightclubs, pubs and other similar entertainment establishments will not be allowed to operate, lawyer Arnel Zapatos, city administrator, said.
