ILIGAN City--Authorities arrested on Friday (March 1) a 49-year-old laborer who was accused of sexually molesting the 14-yearold daughter of his live-in partner. The suspect was at his house in Barangay Suarez here when the "tracker team," composed of the Criminal Intelligence and Detection Group (CIDG), Highway Patrol Team (HPT) and Iligan City Police Station (ICPS) 2, arrived to serve the warrant of arrest against the suspect who raped his step daughter on April 4 last year. Police Captain Roosevelt Cabarteja, deputy chief of police of ICPS 2, said the suspect denied the allegation even if the case was filed on December 19 and approved by the court in January 14,

SWU-PHINMA offers free tuition for public school Grade 10 completers THE Southwestern Un i v e r s it y P H I N M A is rolling out limited slots of 100% tuition and miscellaneous fees coverage for SHS students who are about to complete their grade 10 education in public high schools. Reflecting the u n i v e r s it y ’s g o a l for personal and community development, the 100% enrolment coverage applies to the following Senior High School Strands (SHS) strands: STEM, ABM, HUMMS, TVL, and GAS. Successful enrolees of the grant are eligible for 100% free tuition and

miscellaneous fees for grade 11 and grade 12. The grant will automatically be processed upon enrolment until slots are filled. The scholarships and grants of the University are supplemental efforts of the school’s ongoing mission to cre ate an environment where students can become the best that they can be.
