Duterte breaks ground rehab site in Bukidnon By GERRY LEE GORIT Correspondent

He said he doesn’t mind if he goes to prison or rot in hell as long as the he gets rid of the drug trade in the country. “It would be my honor, I’d be happy if I am killed in the altar of [drugs] in the Philippines. Troops rescue abducted skipper
GOVERNMENT troops on Saturday rescued the skipper of the tugboat towing a cargo vessel hijacked by suspected Abu Sayyaf bandits two days ago off Basilan province. Col. Juvymax Uy, Joint Task Force Basilan commander, confirmed to the Philippine News Agency (PNA) that Aurelio Agacac is now in the custody of the troops after he was rescued at about 5:30 a.m. Saturday in Barangay Basakan in the coastal town of Hadji Mohammad Ajul. Agacac is the skipper of M/T Tug R9 towing the cargo vessel, Super Shuttle RoRo 9. “He (Agacac) was rescued. Of course, we are still looking for the other kidnapped victim. Dads push ‘smoke-free’ C. de Oro
THE city council’s health committee is drafting an ordinance that would make this trading hub in Northern Mindanao “smoke-free,” city councilor Lourdes Gaane said Friday. Gaane said that the committee tackled the issue last week and the members agreed to incorporate in the ordinance some provisions of the Davao City antismoking ordinance, which includes banning electronic smoking known as “Vape.” The city’s proposed antismoking ordinance would include the prohibition of the use, sale, distribution and advertisement of cigarettes and other tobacco products in certain places with corresponding penalties for violators, she said.
