CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY -Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation, Region 10 (NBI-10) led other government agencies in confiscating some 203 pieces of Thermal scanners at a house in Barangay Gusa this city on March 24. Authorities said the fever detectors against virus worth P1.9 million were confiscated during an entrapment operation

conducted by the NBI, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Regulatory and Compliance Board (RCB), and local officials of Barangay Gusa. NBI-10 Regional Director Patricio Bernales Jr. said the confiscated items were found stored in a residence allegedly owned by a person identified only by officials as a certain Mr. Chong in Barangay Gusa. CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: The Research Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM) has confirmed the first COVID-19 positive patient at the government-owned Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) here. Dr. Jose Chan, NMMC Medical Director, said during a press briefing Wednesday that the patient is a 71-year-old male

who resides in one of the city’s urban villages (barangays) here. Chan said that the patient came from Green Hills in San Juan, Metro Manila, who arrived in Cagayan De Oro City on March 7, 2020.
