PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur--- At least 26,580 households in Bayugan City need to secure Home Quarantine Pass from the city hall which will be used by only one family member to buy food and medicines after the city was placed under general community quarantine on March 19. Bayugan City Mayor Kirk Asis issued Executive Order No. 65 Series of 2020 declaring the entire city of three urban barangays and 40 rural barangays under general community quarantine to regulate the movements of the residents outside their homes to avert the spread of the dreaded Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). TWO barangay health workers and a barangay kagawad died and another was seriously injured after a 10-wheeler truck allegedly driven by a drunk driver rammed

into the quarantine checkpoint at Camp Uno, Maramag, Bukidnon. Incident happened at around 10:45pm, Friday, March 20, 2020. The three fatalities were identified as Jomalyn Buhayon and Margie

Maribao, both barangay health workers and Aldren Gaitera, a Brgy Kagawad. Both brgy health workers were declared dead on arrival at the Bukidnon Provincial Hospital while the brgy kagawad expired a few hours later

at another hospital. Meanwhile, seriously injured is Beth Lumanca, a barangay health worker. All are residents of North Poblacion, Maramag, Bukidnon. The suspect was identified as Jemuel Gumanon, 24 years old, a resident

of Kimanait, Pangantucan, Bukidnon. He is now detained at the Maramag Police Station. Initial reports gathered from news sources revealed the truck was speeding towards Don Carlos, Bukidnon when

it mowed the quarantine checkpoint which was manned by the victims as well as police and military personnel. The truck driver tried to escape but was chased and cornered by responding authorities.
