ALORAN, Misamis Occidental--Hundreds of residents from four barangays here have finally returned home safely yesterday. The residents comprised the more than 400 residents who fled for safety after government troops belonging to 10th Infantry “Steady On” Battalion and a group of 20 armed men believed to be members of the CPP-NPA-NDF Western Mindanao Revolutionary Party Committee clashed in the area around 3 p.m. on March 19.
