Public warned vs. fake PDEA agents THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) warned the public against unscrupulous individuals who introduce themselves as PDEA agents involved in criminal activities. PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino reiterated the warning in light of the recent arrest of a suspect posing as a PDEA agent and his female companion during a shootout in Parañaque City last February 24. Investigation disclosed that Jhay-R Repana, 31, alleged PDEA agent, a resident of Masville Compound, Barangay BF Homes, Parañaque City; and Rosemimi Facal, 30, of Lizardo Compound, Bayanan, Taguig City, were involved in a shooting incident along Dr. A. THE granddaughter of former congressman Ismael Veloso Sr., a 4-termer congressman representing the lone district of Davao and a 1978 delegate to the constitutional convention, has voiced alarm over the safety of her two uncles. Ms. Karen Asturias Veloso, single, 27, an office clerk, and a resident of Matina, Davao City, said her uncle, Ismael Veloso Jr., who has been a very vocal, active and political activism, especially in the human rights movement and task force detainee organization, is very concerned and terrified about his plans in returning back home to the Philippines. of any anti-graft laws in the country,” Emano said in his reaction to the “antinepotism” case filed against him by a city government employee with the Ombudsman.
