SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur -- Police operatives arrested Surigao del Sur Vice Gov. Librado Navarro and his wife Maylene in Bislig City on Thursday for estafa charges.

A joint police operation by the Bislig City Police Station and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company apprehended Navarro,64, and wife ,47 in their residence in Ericson Subdivsion in Bislig City. The arrest stemmed

THE Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has already tallied a total of 133 fires this year alone in Northern Mindanao, causing P16 million in structural damages and the death of four persons. Radio announcer found dead in Lanao del Norte

ILIGAN CITY -- A radio announcer in Lanao del Norte was found dead Thursday morning, March 17, in her house in Barangay Poblacion, in Bacolod town, Lanao del Norte. LtCol. Salman Saad, information officer of Lanao del Norte police, identified the victim as Audrey Gaid Estrada, 59, widow, commentator of a community radio, 101.3 Grace Covenant FM. Saad said around 6:45 in the morning when Bacolod police received a call from a concerned citizen informing them about stabbing incident. Upon responding, police saw the victim lying on the second floor of her house that was immediately carried by the family to a nearby community hospital.
