Luzon lockdown blamed for delay of medical supplies delivery to Mindanao By MARK FRANCISCO Correspondent
THE community quarantine in Luzon has taken its toll in the speedy delivery of much needed medical supplies to Cagayan de Oro City and
other areas in Mindanao. City Price Coordinating Council (CPCC) co-chairman Edgardo Uy reported that this was one of the concerns relayed to him by distributors of medici-
nal supplies in a meeting Monday. The city government met with distributors of disinfectants to address the dwindling supplies of alcohol and sanitizers here
as well as vitamins. Earlier, panic buying of hygienic products due to COVID-19 fears was blamed for empty supermarket and pharmacy shelves here in Cagayan de Oro City and
elsewhere in the country. Uy said that distributors admitted that the long thermal checkpoint queues in Metro Manila and community quarantines at their market localities prevented
