Napolcom deputation of local execs remain July 7, 2017

AGAYAN de Oro City--The provincial governor in Misamis Oriental and the City Mayor of Cagayan De Oro City were among the local executives in Mindanao whose powers to supervise the local police was not withdrawn, the National Police Commissions (Napolcom) clarified Thursday. In a press statement Tuesday, Napolcom ordered the withdrawal of the deputation of seven Governors and 132 Mayors in the provinces of Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Lanao del Norte, Sultan Kudarat, Sulu, Basilan, Tawi-Tawi and in the city of Cotabato.

MISAMIS Oriental second district Rep. Juliette Uy turned over on June 30 a four-storey, 20-classroom building to El Salvador Central School in El Savador, Misamis Oriental. Another initiative of Rep. Uy, the school building project worth P43 million was formally turned over to the school in a simple turn over rites attended by local and education officials, and the district staff of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) funded the project. Also on the same day, Rep. Uy turned over a twostorey six-classroom building to San Francsico de Asis Elementary School, three-storey nine-classroom to Hinigdaan National High School while the Cogon National High School got 4-storey 12-classroom, a 2-storey 6-classroom, and a 2-classroom school buildings.
THE city government would file charges against hospital officials here who refused to admit and treat patients who failed to pay an advance deposit, the local city council officials said Thursday. City Councilor George Goking said that it is time for the city government to act and send a strong message to all hospital officials and administrators here that the city government means business. City Councilor Eric Salcedo said that that the city government would ‘localize’ the imposition of Republic Act. No. 8344, an act penalizing the refusal of hospitals and medical clinics to administer appropriate initial medical treatment and support in emergency or serious cases. The law also provides that it shall be unlawful for any proprietor, president, director, manager or any other officer, and/or medical practitioner or employee of a hospital or medical clinic to request, solicit, demand or accept any deposit or
