Ousted NTC exec arrested By CHRIS V. PANGANIBAN Contributing Editor

BUTUAN City— The troubles for the beleaguered former regional director of National Telecommunication has haunted him anew after lawmen collared him on the basis of separate three more arrest warrants for estafa and graft charges issued by two local courts. Former NTC Caraga Director Rudy Carreon Valdez, 66, a resident of Poblacion Palimbang in Sultan Kudarat, was attending for his arraignment for his estafa case at Regional Trial Court Branch 2 presided by Judge Emmanuel Escatron at the Hall of Justic in Barangay Libertad here when he was arrested by the police last week. His arrest as ordered by Judge Augustus Calo of RTC Branch 5 stemmed from two more estafa cases and another graft case lodged against the embattled Valdez who was booted out from office last year by the Office of the Ombudsman for “grave misconduct and VP Leni with ‘bakwits.’ Vice President Leni Robredo shares light moments with evacuees from Marawi City dishonesty.” Judge Calo in an evacuation center at the Al Markazie Islamic Institute in Balo-i, Lanao del Norte on June 26, 2017.
