Daughter looking for her parents nabbed in buybust By DIVINA M. SUSON Correspondent

ILIGAN City--A 21-year-old daughter, who went to Iligan a year ago to look for her parents, was arrested in buy-and-bust operation of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Monday night (June 17) inside a lodging house in Purok 7, Barangay

Tambacan this city. NBI Iligan District Office Chief Jamal Dimaporo identified the target of the operation as Mary Grace Manginsay who said she hails from San Juan, Siquijor provice. Manginsay was arrested with her boyfriend, Omar Magondacan, 36, a resident of Barangay Panggao Saduc, Marawi City.

In an interview, Manginsay said she was not able to find her parents but instead met Magondacan and became a partner, including that in shabu selling. Misor demolished shelters of evacuees By GERRY LEE GORIT, Correspondent

CAGAYAN de Oro City--The provincial government under Governor Yevgeny Vincente “Bambi” Emano has demolished Tuesday the structures built by evacuees. The evacuees, mostly residents from sitio Camansi in Barangay Banglay, Lagonglong town, fled for safer grounds following the skirmishes between the government troops and the New People’s Army (NPA) last year. Despite dozens of warnings from the provincial government, the evacuees continue building their temporary shelters at the De Lara Park. Jonreboy Hilogon, one of the IDPs who has been helping in the building of the makeshift shelters, said they have to make elevated huts for their comfort.
