Wife of suspect in Marawi gunrunning nabbed in Oro Various firearms seized in separate raids

CAMP Evangelista, Cagayan de Oro City--The wife of the suspected gunrunner with alleged links to the Marawi armed group was invited for questioning after a raid of their residence in an outskirt village here resulted in the seizure of assorted firearms and ammunitions, the military said Saturday. In a statement, Col. Adonis Ariel G. Orio , the spokesperson of the Martial Law Special Action Group (MLSAG), did not identify the wife, but said that the suspect failed to present any documents that would prove ownership of the firearms and ammunitions seized during the raid at their residence by the MLSAG team. Armed with a search warrant issued by the regional trial court in Cagayan De Oro City, the MLSAG team swooped down on the residence of a certain Jalaludin Bacaraman Lao, an alleged gunrunner in the outskirt village of Pagatpat, and seized four assorted firearms consisting of one M4, two cal . 45 pistols, one cal . 38 pistol, and assorted ammunitions. CAGAYAN de Oro City--Various firearms were seized in simultaneous raids inside the houses of a trader and an alleged gunrunner by the Martial Law-Special Action Group (ML-SAG) in Zone 5, Barangay Bonbon and in Barangay Pagatpat here, on Friday morning. Captain Joe Patrick Martinez, spokesperson of the Philippine Army’s 4th Infantry Division, said the raiding team confiscated two long firearms, M4 and AK47 rifles, and five assorted handguns including calibers .45 and .38 pistols, inside the residence of Jameloding Tago. Tago is living in a compound with his family and his brother Jabar, who lives in a separate but identical house. The compound also has a warehouse containing bundles of used clothing, which is the brothers’ business.
