BILL ESTABLISHING PMMA CdeO CAMPUS LAPSES INTO LAW
Together with Filipino guerrilla fighters, the Allied Forces demonstrated bravery and valor in combat against the Japanese Imperial Army during the liberation campaign of Northern Luzon. For 27 days, they engaged in one of the fiercest battles throughout the campaign, the battle for the liberation of Mankayan Benguet. Through their unwavering courage and determination to restore freedom, our liberators were able to capture the wellestablished Japanese garrison, leading to the liberation of Mankayan, Benguet. Today, #MakeItHistoric.
THE bill championed by Cagayan de Oro Rep. Rufus B. Rodriguez which seeks to create a Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) campus in Cagayan de Oro City has lapsed into law. RA 11782 or the “Act Establishing a Campus of PMMA in Cagayan de Oro City” is geared to provide short-term, technical-vocational, undergraduate, and graduate courses for aspiring cadets in Mindanao and the nearby Visayas islands. The aim is to produce highly skilled and qualified individuals that will be guaranteed employment once they graduate. See BILL, page 11
