ILIGAN City--Police arrested on Thursday, January 24, a kagawad of a barangay in Taraka town in Lanao del Sur and her husband in a joint anti-drug buy bust operation of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP DEG) and Stations 1 and 5 of Iligan City Police Office. The suspect, identified as Sittie Aizah Macabando Badron, 24, married, pregnant to her third child. Senior Inspector Eric

Logroño, chief of Iligan City Police Station 1, said around 11:00 o’clock in the morning when police poseur buyer bought a sachet of believed to be ‘shabu’ from Sittie Aizah Macabando Badron, also known as “Sitti”, 24, while onboard her white Toyota Innova along the national highway of Barangay San Miguel, Iligan City. Logroño said Badron is the main target of the operation but her husband, Sadam Baniaga Sarip, 27, was also arrested for acting as driver.

Their two children, aged ten months old and five years old, were with them in the car when they were arrested. Aside from the sachet of ‘shabu’ bought from Badron, operatives confiscated from the “possession and control of the the couple” another six sachets of the same size, the five hundred peso buy-bust money and a cellular phone that may contain information about the suspect’s other “drug transactions.” See ARREST, page 11
