AGAYAN de Oro City--Several firearms, ammunitions and explosives were seized during a raid in a house of a “person of interest” in connection with the shooting to death of Dr. Ricardo Rotoras, president of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP), in December last year.

Faster ‘paper trail’ for taxpayers seen as AgSur goes hi-tech By CHRIS V. PANGANIBAN, Contributing Editor

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur--Taxpayers in this province will soon enjoy a faster processing of their documents on real properties as the provincial government introduced the web-based Real Property Tax Information System (RPTIS). This web-based system was developed by Provincial STEP-UP. Soldiers from the 65th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army’s 9th Infantry were called to action Information Management Office to be used by the higher command to serve in the 4th Infantry Division to help combat the New People’s Army (NPA) threat in Northern Mindanao and Caraga regions.
