3rd PH Environment Summit to push through as scheduled in CDO THE 3rd Philippine Environment Summit will be held as originally scheduled on February 26-28, 2020, at the Grand Caprice Restaurant and Convention Center, Cagayan de Oro City. A joint statement from the Department of Health, Department of Interior and Local Government and the Department of Tourism on public gatherings clarified it “would like to assure everyone that it is safe to organize and attend public gatherings, meetings, and festivals as along as all precautionary measures identified by the DOH are observed. The joint statement clarified the DOH’s earlier Advisory on Concerts and Other Public Events and Gatherings issued last
February 07, 2020. “The DOH reminds the general public to wash your hands regularly, and to seek medical attention if signs of cough, colds, sore throat, and fever appear,” the joint statement stressed. “All preventive and precautionary measures have been put in place by the national government to contain the spread of the COVID-19.” To ensure the safety of participants, summit organizers have committed to strictly implement health precautions, including the mandatory scanning of all participants with an infrared thermometer at the venue entrance, requiring everyone to sanitize their hands with hand sanitizers placed at the venue entrance and exit, not allowing attendees See PUSH, page 11

Combating disinformation requires whole-of-nation participation
LONDON, United Kingdom – Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar enjoined the Filipino community
in London to be advocates of the campaign against disinformation about the government’s cornerstone policies. Andanar made this call
as the PCOO held a filmshowing session of the antiillegal drug documentary film “Gramo” at the Philippine Embassy in London on February 21.
The PCOO also presented to the international community a journal containing facts about the anti-illegal drug campaign, entitled: See REQUIRES, page 11
