LTFRB apprehends colurum vehicles Volume IX, No. 222

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY - With the present thrust of the National Government under the Duterte administration to clean the streets of illegal structures and colurum vehicles, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board regional office 10 (LTFRB 10) conducted surprise apprehensions yesterday in strategic areas in the city. The LTFRB apprehending team went to Koresco area in Upper Lumbia and apprehended these colurum taxis and other passenger vehicles plying the streets without the required government permits to operate. LTFRB 10 Regional Director Aminoden Guro had earlier told the media that there will be lots of apprehensions in the streets in the coming weeks for 2020 to get rid of colurum vehicles. Guro said these illegal operators are denying the government the right taxes and revenues which amounts to millions of pesos, to the detriment of the coffers of the government. CAGAYAN de Oro City-Police raided the residence of the owner of the vehicle used by the five suspects in the shooting at the police checkpoint in Libertad, Misamis Oriental on Feb. 17, 2020. The vehicle, a white
