Bets told to obtain permits for campaign materials on PUVs HPG to apprehend motorcycle drivers with kids on board

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Following a recent ruling on campaign materials placed on public utility vehicles (PUVs), the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board in Region 10 (LTFRB-10) said it is now ready to accept applications from candidates who want to ramp up their advertising mileage. Before political hopefuls can plaster their advertisements on PUVs, LTFRB-10 Director Aminoden Guro said candidates must first obtain a permit from the transportation agency. “Candidates must file petition for political advertisement with our office. But before it can be granted, we have to inspect the campaign materials first if these are compliant with the specifications set by the memorandum,” Guro said, referring to LTFRB memorandum circulars 2013-005 and 2015-029. THE provincial team of the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) in Negros Oriental is urging the public to heed the law prohibiting small children from riding on board motorcycles. Senior Insp. Silvestre Cenia, Jr., head of the Provincial Highway Patrol Team (PHPT), on Thursday explained that this is in line with Republic Act 10666 or An Act Providing For The Safety Of Children Aboard Motorcycles. “Balaod na gud na, mao nga kinahanglan nga musubay ang katawhan ani (it is already a law and therefore the people should heed it),” he said, citing the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of RA 10666

AFTER five years of construction and now towards its way of occupancy, The Loop North Tower has found her twin. Last Saturday, officials of Vista Land lead the groundbreaking of The Loop South Tower inside Limketkai Center in Cagayan de Oro City. Just like her twin, The Loop South Tower will be

26 levels tall but unlike its northern counterpart, it will only offer studio residential units. Each unit will have a smoke detector (normally in the kitchen), fire sprinkler, dining/living/bedroom/ kitchen areas, telephone line and CATV outlet, exhaust at toilet and bath, duct provision for range hood, provision for airconditioner (window type) and area for washer/dryer. There

will be a kitchen sink, foot and hanging cabinets, toilet and bath, complete toilet and bath fixtures: lavatory and telephone type shower. The flooring is vinyl wood planks with unglazed ceramic tiles. Now rebranded under the umbrella of Camella Condo Homes, The Loop will soon be connected to All Home via a second-level walkway all the way towards Limketkai Center.
