6th ID produced 677 new breed of soldiers CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – The 6th Infantry Division welcomed the 677 new breed of soldiers as they graduated from military training today, November 28, 2019, at Barangay Semba, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao. 6th Infantry Division and Joint Task Force Central Commander Maj. Gen. Diosdado C. Carreon graced the graduation ceremony of Candidate Soldier (CS) Classes 575, 591, 599, 600 and 601 of 2019. The Candidate Soldiers took their oaths last June 1, 2019 composed of 600 males and 85 females, where 299 came from 52nd Engineer Brigade in Bukidnon, 12 from 54th Engineer Brigade in Zamboanga City, 16 from 4th Infantry Division in Cagayan de Oro City, See PRODUCED, page 11

Andanar to help improve education in MisOcc TANGUB CITY, Misamis Occidental--Presidential C ommunic ations Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Jose Ruperto Martin M. Andanar said he would give his full support to the thrust of the local government of Misamis Occidental to improve the status of education in the province. In a press conference, Andanar cited education as the greatest equalizer in society. Based on the findings of the local government, there

are only a handful of high schools in the province, specifically in areas affected by the communist group. The tendency, Andanar said, is for the students to drop out due to lack of schools in the area. Andanar gave assurance that he will be working together with the national government to add more high schools in the province of Misamis Occidental. OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental - The Department of Health (DOH) Center for Health Development Northern Mindanao (CHD-NM) in collaboration with all local government units of Misamis Occidental has launched the polio outbreak response immunization campaign here at Ozamiz City Health Office, Function Hall. The campaign dubbed, “Sabayang Patak Kontra Polio’’ aims to cover children under five years old to stop the polio outbreak.
