Xavier Ateneo Sports Centre inaugurated
CAGAYAN de Oro City--The Xavier Ateneo Sports Centre (XASC), the newest facility of Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan, has officially opened to provide the academic community a venue for athletics programs and recreational activities, located in Pueblo de Oro. During its blessing and ceremonial inauguration on Saturday, December 16, university president Fr Roberto “Bobby” C Yap SJ said that the XASC is dedicated to the Xavier Ateneo students. “This Sports Centre is for the students,” Yap told the crowd. “This is for their programs in sports and physical education so they will realize that physical See sports, page 11
Keep your Christmas worry-free, says DOH
AS THE holiday preparations move into high gear, remember to keep stress to a manageable level and get sufficient rest. Department of Health (DOH) spokesperson, Dr. Lyndon Lee Suy, said this is the best way to stay healthy during the Christmas season. Planning ahead helps a lot, Lee Suy said on Monday. “Plan Christmas activities for yourself and your family in order to prevent tension and stress,” he said, adding that this should be coupled with getting enough sleep to give mind and body time to rest.
