Pizarro back as Oro Chamber head By MARK FRANCISCO
“WE will make our organization into a regional chamber.” Thus declared newly installed Oro Chamber president Robertino Pizarro in his comeback on Tuesday as the leader of Northern Mindanao’s largest business lobby. Pizarro – who was previously the president of the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. from 2017 to 2018 – is back at the helm as its president, kicking off his fresh one-year term for 2020 after taking his oath before PCCI Mindanao Area
vice president Ma. Teresa Alegrio in ceremonies last December 3 at Limketkai Luxe Hotel here. In his inaugural speech, Pizarro revealed that he has talked with several business sectors in neighboring provinces such as Bukidnon and these leaders have committed to work with Oro Chamber in several fronts to forge a stronger lobbying hand. The occasion also marked outgoing Oro Chamber president Irene Floro’s farewell even as she outlined her valedictory report in a See CHAMBER, page 15
