ing their right to organize and assemble. What we are against is when their protest is in the form of ‘tigil pasada’ where they inconvenience the riding public,” Quiambao said in a text message to reporters. “To hold a franchise is not a right, but a privilege granted by the state. DOJ forms task force to probe cases vs. rogue cops THE Department of Justice (DOJ) has created a task force to handle the criminal charges filed by Philippine National Police- Counter Intelligence Task Force (PNP-CITF) against policemen reported to be involved in illegal activities. In Department Order No. 697 dated October 25 but was released to media this week, DOJ Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II has designated 14 prosecutors to conduct the preliminary investigation on the cases filed by PNP-CITF. Criminology student nabbed in drug raid

KIDAPAWAN City--Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) arrested a Criminology student in a buy-bust raid near Cotabato City on Wednesday. PDEA-ARMM regional director Juvenal Azurin identified the suspect as Rocky Usama, 23, resident of Barangay Bagua and fourth year student taking up criminology in one of the colleges in Cotabato City.
