DOH sounds clarion call vs Dengue in North Mindanao C

AGAYAN DE ORO CITY - The Department of Health (DOH) unleashed a clarion call as Dengue cases in Northern Mindanao have surpassed the five-year “epidemic” threshold with a total of 15,095 cases and 60 deaths from January 1, 2019 to Aug. 3, 2019.

Dr. Adriano P. Suba-an, acting regional health director, said that the province of Bukidnon with the highest number of cases totaling 6,406 cases followed by Misamis Oriental with 2,384 cases and Lanao Del Norte with 2,066 cases.

He said that the province of Lanao Del Norte recorded the highest number of deaths with 15 deaths followed by Misamis Oriental, 13, and Bukidnon 10. As far as the cities are concerned, Iligan City with See DENGUE, page 11
