Missing kids could be among Maute hostages

A Facebook post from ARMM Vice Governor Al Haroun Raschid Lucman Jr. late Friday night has given focus to yet another dimension in the now 96day war in Marawi City: young boys alleged to have been recruited by the Maute Group and photographed brandishing firearms could be children kidnapped years ago or reported missing since the firefight between government forces and the IS-inspired terror group began on May 23.

Lucman’s post showed two photographs — a toddler wearing a white sando and a young boy in black, carrying a long firearm.

“A mother posted this in

the FB saying the toddler on the left side was her son who went missing several years ago. She felt the child combatant on the right side is strikingly similar to (her) missing son… IF THERE IS ANYONE WHO CAN HELP, IF EVER HE IS STILL ALIVE, PLEASE DO.. PDP-Laban’s membership expansion: quality or quantity?

RECENT developments in the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) in Mindanao in the past few days have prompted Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, the party President, to issue a statement that party members “can only achieve our goals if we present a united front to the world” and warned expulsion of members “providing ammunition to those who seek to sow divisions within the party.”

A major problem hounding the party is the acceptance of new members into PDP-Laban in preparation for the 2019 elections, allegedly even without attending the party’s mandatory Basic Membership Seminar, or in exchange for money.

The patriarch at that time was suffering from diabetes and had a coughing fit. When he was caught at the checkpoint, he was allegedly on his way to Davao City for a medical check-up.

He said he left Marawi on Sunday, June 3, Day 13 of the clashes between government forces and the Maute Group.

Maute told reporters he wanted a “longer” ceasefire between government and the Maute Group.

An emissary of the government and Moro Islamic Liberation Front’s “Peace Corridor” on June 3 managed to get the Maute Group to agree to a fourhour ceasefire to allow safe passage for trapped civilians. At least 134 civilians were rescued then.

Assemblyman Zia Alonto Adiong, spokesperson of the Provincial Crisis Management Committee told MindaNews on Sunday that the proposal to give chicken from Central Luzon may be well-intentioned but “masyadong insulting” (it is so insulting).

Dr. Nainobai Disomangcop, a retired professor at the Mindanao State University, had earlier written that maratabat is associated with shame, honor and dignity, rank, self-esteem or ‘amor propio,” reputation and ‘face.’

“But maratabatat is more than any of these,” she said.

Disomangcop noted there is no single word or phrase that can clearly define maratabat “for the Maranaos have surrounded it with many socio-psychological concepts of their own.”

the party’s ideals and are not merely joining for convenience.

“And only if the party is satisfied that they are really sincere, eager to learn about party platforms, direction that they should be accepted as members.

Otherwise, they should be accepted as allies but not necessarily members,” he told Rappler Talk.

On Sunday, the elder Pimentel told MindaNews that “all kinds of political ‘experts’ are climbing into the political ring in support of the PDP Laban champion and in the process they crowd out any other political party contender into oblivion.”

“This is not the best scenario but that’s how it is turning out in our country,” he said, adding, “What is most important is for the people to speak out their minds openly for or against events happening in the country.”

The party’s national chair is President Rodrigo Duterte, its standard-bearer in the 2016 elections.

Duterte has repeatedly referred to the PDP-Laban as a “moribund” political party until he accepted its offer to run for President in November 2015.

In Philippine history, this is the first time that the President, Senate President and House Speaker are all from Mindanao. Duterte is the 16th President of the Philippines and the first Mindanawon to lead the nation.

‘Persona non grata” A group claiming to represent “original PDP-Laban stalwarts” from various regions in Mindanao said they declared as “persona non grata” House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, Jr., the party’s secretary general, in a resolution passed Thursday.

But PDP-Laban President Pimentel told MindaNews on Friday that the move is “clearly a demolition job against Speaker Alvarez, our legitimate party secretary-general.”

MindaNews sought Alvarez for comment but he sent no reply. In Koronadal on Friday, he warned of rampant illegal recruitment activities for membership into PDP-Laban in exchange for money. Among the “illegal recruiters,” he said, are legitimate party members.

Also on Friday, party president Pimentel in a press statement said the ruling party has not declared Alvarez as ‘persona non grata” and that the group of Rogelio Garcia, a former Labor Undersecretary, and Cesar Cuntapay, regional party president of Southern Mindanao (Region XI) and Mindanao Area Council chair “does not represent the Party.”

Cuntapay said they did not claim to represent the entire party.

“Whatever their complaints,” the younger Pimen-

tel said of Cuntapay’s group, “someone (referring to Alvarez) who has expanded the base of PDP Laban in the House of Representatives from three to 123 members cannot be said to have done or be doing acts inimical to the Party.”

Alvarez, he claimed, “in fact strengthened the Party with quality members and was crucial in the passage of laws that forward the Change we in the Party advocate.”

The party president said he asked Cuntapay to “respect the Party’s processes” and submit his complaint to PDP Laban’s arbitration procedure.

“I will not allow the Party my father built to be dragged through the mud because of personal differences between Party members,” he said, adding the party is “working to build a better society and a Federal Philippines” and anyone who describes himself as a loyal party member “must respect and obey the party’s by-laws,” he said.

He ordered Cuntapay to “immediately cease from these actions inimical to the Party’s image and morale, or be subject to Party discipline.”

Taking sides Cuntapay told MindaNews on Sunday that he had expected Pimentel would not take sides but find out first what the issues are so these can be resolved.

The party, he said, is “politically too compromised.”

Cuntapay claimed in a press release Thursday that some 200 “original PDP-Laban stalwarts from various regions of Mindanao” issued the resolution declaring Alvarez “persona non grata,” claiming Alvarez is “a guy with no moral ascendancy,” an “unscrupulous politico,” an “immoral legislator” and a “fake secretary-general.”

He said four resolutions were passed, including the “unification and strengthening of the Mindanao sector of the party.”

Cuntapay’s group called on Alvarez to stop mass oath-taking rites “without the applicants undergoing the Basic Membership Seminar,” a requirement under the party’s by-laws.

He urged Pimentel to convene the party for a Mindanao Summit on November 30.

Cuntapay claimed he was replaced by Alvarez “on impulse,” that Alvarez was “fortifying his hold in the region at the expense of the party’s principles” and should be ousted.

“I am not backing out from this fight and I still do function as a regional president of Region XI because Alvarez unilaterally has no authority to remove council officers (of ) good standing,” the press release quoted Cuntapay as saying.

But upon reaching Sultan Kudarat, he said the instruction changed and they were to go to Davao City instead. Tagum City is 56 kilometers away from Davao City.

Adiong said the national alarm due to the bird flu “also seeped into the consciousness not only of consumers but evacuees staying temporarily at various evacuation sites.”

The CYNOSURE also joined the struggle of the local law enforcers in instituting preemptive measures against all forms of criminal elements. The preventive measure was necessary to preempt possible intrusion of criminal elements out to sow anarchy at the time when the Cagayanons are celebrating the annual Feast of St. Augustine.

Of course, we could not also discount the intervention of St. Augustine, whose mysterious unseen Hands might have manifested by covering the people from any harm during the weeklong celebration.

The local residents, although a bit apprehensive, has also shown awareness

of the city’s security that, without being told, have extended support by feeding important information to the local police.

Indeed, the local residents have a critical role in keeping peace and order in the community. The law enforcers have admitted that “crime prevention is also the primary concern of the local community.” The harmonious relationship between the law enforcers and the local residents in keeping peace and preventing criminal elements from sowing terror during the fiesta celebration this year was valuable.

Here: An old man, walking the beach at dawn, noticed a young man ahead of him picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea. Catching up with the youth, he asked what he was doing. The answer was that the stranded starfish would die if left until the morning sun. “But the beach goes on for miles, and there are millions of starfish,” countered the old man.

“How can your effort make any difference?” The young man looked at the starfish in his hand and then threw

it to safety in the waves. “It makes a difference to this one,” he said.

In my own little efforts towards building a culture of integrity and excellence in the government, I could be that young man in the story.

WHILE expressing sympathy with the victims of summary killings, the Jesuit community pressed the need for community support and action to curtail the drug problem in the country.

The Jesuits stressed that looking away will not solve the problem, but unity behind concerted efforts and action will reduce it.

“Though we wish to be in solidarity with all victims of injustice, we must move beyond expressions of outrage to constructive action,” said Fr. Antonio Moreno, provincial superior of the Philippine Jesuit Province.

He said these actions may include raising public awareness about the “evil” of illegal drugs and by engaging other people especially the youth to stay away from vices.

The priest also rallied everyone to get involved, to work together with Church-based groups, the government and civil society organizations.

The Jesuits said it is imperative for everyone to rally behind the authorities and crime-fighting initiatives.

“It belongs to us all,” Moreno said, adding that the “evil” that attacks the human “should unite us, not divide us”.

Saying that the drug menace, is not just a political or criminal issue, they said that it is “evil that attacks our humanity”, even “turning policemen into murderers, and the poor into the victims of their own security forces”.

“The heartless killing of Kian de los Santos proves this,” said Moreno, referring to the slain 17-year-old schoolboy who was shot dead after allegedly engaging cops in an anti-drug operation in Caloocan City

last week.

“We need to understand why the soul of the war on drugs is a human soul, and why the enemy of this war is not human rights, but lack of commitment to human rights,” he added. “We cannot build the Philippine nation on the cadavers of the Filipino people.”

of the Society of Jesus joins His Eminence Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle in appealing to the “consciences of those manufacturing and selling illegal drugs to stop this activity” and “to the consciences of those who kill even the helpless, especially those who cover their faces with bonnets, to stop wasting human lives.”

We agree that the menace of illegal drugs is real and destructive. The imperative to defeat this evil does not belong to the President alone, the Philippine National Police, and the instrumentalities of human

government. It belongs to us all. The evil that attacks the human with the power of the demonic, should unite us, not divide us. Battling this enemy, we learn how ineffectual, how flawed, our weapons are. Instead of turning our weapons on one another, we must unite, coordinate, and allow good to ally with good; we must fight this enemy together.

Truly, the menace of drugs is not just a political or criminal issue. It is evil that attacks our humanity, turns human beings into zombies, policemen into murderers, criminals into lords, and the poor into the victims of their own security forces. The heartless killing of Kian de los Santos proves this. We cannot fight evil with guns and bullets alone. This evil we must fight with insight, cooperation, cunning, the enlightened use of political and economic power, self-sacrifice, prayer and God’s grace.

It is in this spirit that we welcome the call of Cardinal Tagle and the Archdiocese of Manila to a multi-sectoral dialogue. We need to come together to understand the situation in depth. We need to understand why the soul of the war on drugs is a human soul, and why the enemy of this war is not human rights, but lack of commitment to human rights. We

need to understand why we cannot fight for human beings by denying them their rights. In a society where the human has so lightly lost his soul to corruption, hedonism, and disrespect for the human person, we need to understand how the poor are illegal drugs’ worst victims, addicted, trafficked, then shot by the guns drug money buys. We need to understand how denying the international drug cartels their markets does not mean killing the poor who are their victims, but reforming the structure which keep the poor poor.

We need to understand that building the drugfree, smart, socially-just religiously diverse society envisioned by the Duterte administration needs patient multi-sectoral collaboration of good people collaborating with good people. We cannot build the Philippine nation on the cadavers of the Filipino people.

In this spirit of dialogue, where it is clear that the rule of law and the respect for human rights thwart evil, the recommendations of our Ateneo de Manila Human Rights Center pertinent to extrajudicial killings and Operation Tokhang Reloaded might be seriously considered.

DA-10 meets with poultry growers association regarding bird flu prevention

The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 10 (DARFO 10) through its Livestock Program conducted a poultry grower’s consultation with the members of the association and other stakeholders on August 24, 2017 at the DA-10 compound. The meeting was called to discuss the additional preventive measures and to monitor the price of poultry products following the Avian Influenza outbreak in Pampanga and Nueva Ecija this month. Among the issues discussed were the strengthening of the quarantine sites, coordination with the Local Government Units (LGUs) on the enforcement of farm poultry accreditations as well as massive information -dissemination, re-visiting of the local ordinances, and mobilization of task force in preventing the entry of the virus in our region.

SCHOOL-COMMUNITY FORUM ON STUDENT BEHAVIOR IN MEDINA NATIONAL COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL VICE GOVERNOR JOEY G. PELAEZ was recently invited by Schools Division Superintendent Cherry Mae Limbaco to discuss the alarming presence of gangs that is causing incidences of violence such as throwing of stones, student riot, disrespect of school authorities involving students and outsiders in Medina National Comprehensive High School in Medina, Misamis Oriental.

VICE GOVERNOR PELAEZ highly recommended to let the students join the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) or Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) to allow them to gain a sense of belongingness. Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012, re: DepEd Child Protection Policy, the school is mandated to implement the Positive and Non-Violent Discipline of Children. According to this order, positive and non-violent discipline is a way of thinking and a holistic, constructive and pro-active approach to teaching

that helps the children develop appropriate thinking and behavior in the short and long term which fosters self-discipline.

On the other hand, the child psychology is telling us the this particular stage going to the adolescence stage is a crucial stage.

The children need constant guidance coming from the parents

and since the school teachers are considered as the second parents, they must religiously contemplate to this order. This mandate reminds every teacher and school personnel that children are full human beings with basic rights. These rights must be afforded to them. And a teacher must play the role not as punish-

ing agent but rather a mentor to model and demonstrate proper behavior as in Good Manners and Right Conduct subject in the elementary for the students to emulate and follow. It is a challenge to every school teacher to use every situation a teaching opportunities to teach lifelong skills and values to the students.

The implementation of this crusade to integrate Positive Discipline to every school is a call to all teaching personnel, and needs a positive response from the teachers if we are to develop citizens who are morally straight and become potential conscientious leaders in the future.

Mini-antennas could power brain-computer interfaces

AT last, engineers have figured out how to make ant e n n a s for w i re l e s s communication 100 times smaller than their current size, an advance that could lead to tiny brain implants, micro-medical devices or phones you can wear on your finger.

The brain implants in particular are like science fiction. But that hasn’t stopped scientists from tr ying to make them a reality.

The new mini-anten-

nas play off the difference between electromagnetic waves such as light and radio waves and acoustic waves such as sound and inaudible vibrations.

Electromagnetic waves are f luc tuat ions in an electromagnetic field and they travel at light speed – an astounding 300 million meters per second.

Acoustic waves are the jiggling of matter and they travel at the much slower speed of sound – typically a few thousand

meters per second. S o at any given frequency, an FM wave has a much longer wavelength than an acoustic wave.

Antennas receive infor mation by res onating with electromagnetic waves which they convert into electrical voltage. For such resonance to occur, a traditional antenna’s length must roughly match t he wavelengt h of the electromagnetic wave it receives, meaning that the antenna must be

relatively big. However, like a guitar string, an antenna can also resonate with acoustic waves.

The new antennas take advantage of this fact.

The y wi l l pick up t he electromagnetic waves of a given frequency if its size matches the wavelength of the much shorter acoustic waves of the same frequency.

That means that for any given signal frequency, the antennas can be much smaller.

These trash cans labeled as biodegradable for fruit peelings and dry leaves, non-biodegradable for candy wrappers, cellophane and plastic bottles, The plastic bottles and cans gathered will be sold to junk shops as an income generating project of the school.

Indeed, Through this activity these children will realize the importance of segregating our waste well as knowing their crucial role in preser ving and protecting our mother earth.

It’s really not easy to balance studies and responsibilities and what makes them more special and close to my heart because even they are pressured in their academics and task in school they can still smile and serve the school with passion and willingness. At their young age they can manage their time well, lead their fellow students and especially inspire a lot of people and I’m very proud to say that I’m one of the people inspired by many student

leaders and the best thing they’ve taught me is to be industrious and humble at all times. I’ve learned that we can be all achievers in our own little ways and with this little ways it can make us do great things which may result to huge success. If we will always commit ourselves to our work and responsibilities everything will follow promptly and with this kind of attitude we can really put our thoughts into dreams and turn them into reality. Sometimes, I come home very tired and stressed but when I see my daughter learning and striving to do her obligations as a student and as a President is very overwhelming because not only she is making us proud but also she is helping her community as well. DSWD moves 4Ps pay-out anew in Camiguin CAMIGUIN -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) decided to postpone indefinitely the pay outs of 21 municipalities throug hout Region 10 including the five municipalities here due to the current technical glitches between DSWD and Land Bank of the Philippines IT Systems.

In his letter to DSWD Field Office 10, Edgardo Micayabas, chief executive office of FICCO (First Community Cooperative) disclosed that it cannot proceed with the pay-out

because his IT Team together with LBP is still on the process of configuring the IP Sec registration, one of the requirements of LBP’s Regional Bids and Awards Committee for them to issue notice to proceed, purchase order, and funding for FICCO. T h e mu n i c ip a l it i e s in the province include Catarman, Guinsiliban, Mahinog, Mambajao, and Sagay.

Gina Est aniel, provincial link of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) here, said that FICCO is a conduit of LBP

for the cash grant distribution of 4Ps beneficiaries.

Prior to the current p ostp onement, DSWD has scheduled the payouts this month of August.

DSWD Field Of f ice Regional Director, Nestor Briones Ramos, however, has officially requested LBP Central Office for the immediate resolution of the issue with FICCO. Payouts for 4Ps beneficiaries is set every two months.

The multifaceted nature of a career as a school principal is one of importance due to the fact that leadership is second only to classroom instruction among school-related factors that contribute to what

students learn at school.

In addition, principals who focus significant energy to becoming instructional leaders in tangent with organizational management and developing relational aspects of their job creates a combination for success in school effectiveness. School principals are leaders. There are many questions surrounding leadership such as: Are people born leaders? Is leadership innate or a learned skill?

What effect does leadership have? These are all found in research.

Leaders attract followers, they influence. They possess a vision and purpose and are able to get people to commit to that same vision. People expect a leader to be ethical and stand for something with conviction.

Challenging opportunities for people to change and grow are sought by leaders.

A leader’s actions may either alienate or commit others.

An “essential ingredient to a Great Leader is boundless optimism about the potential of ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things in the world.

SECTION 7. IMPLEMENTING OFFICES - The Kabacan Municipal Inspection Team composed of representatives from the Office of the Municipal Mayor, Business Permit and Licensing Office, Municipal Treasurer and/or representative, Municipal Health Officer and Sanitary Inspector, representatives from Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, Municipal Engineer, Municipal Economic Enterprises and Development Office (MEEDO), MENRO, TMU Head, PNP and BFP, shall be responsible for the verification and determination of the relevant establishments’ compliance with the directives of this Ordinance. The Kabacan Municipal Inspection Team shall specify when compulsory inspection of the installed CCTVs shall be conducted before the necessary clearance or certification therefore may be issued, which clearance or certification shall be a mandatory requirement for the issuance or renewal by the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) of a business permit or license. The Kabacan Municipal Inspection Team may thereafter conduct inspections during reasonable business hours, to determine continued compliance with this Ordinance post- issuance or renewal of such establishments’ business permit or license by the BPLO. For all these purposes, the Kabacan Municipal Inspection Team shall seek the advice and assistance of the local Chief of Police or his duly authorized representative.

Challenges of an Araling Panlipunan Teacher An article written by Josie A. Salalima

Every teacher has to deal with paper works, class activities, students performances, teaching innovations and many other things. Even from time management, searching for educational resources and enabling functional communication channels to parents.

It always falls under teachers’ responsibility and have to be managed at once. These are some challenges I’ve met.

Availability of Learning Resources: Being an Araling Panlipunan teacher, the availability of learning resources poses a great problem. These are teaching resources that

are important to the learning performances of every student that may include computers, LCD projectors and some library materials. Though we have learners’ materials, but we need to explore deeper on its context like watching documentary films which is technology integration.

Search for more informative materials at DepEd LRMDS and a thorough preparation is needed.

Need to Vary Instruction Araling Panlipunan teachers should not stick to one teaching methods, approaches or strategies.

These are important tools towards the development of the students especially in developing critical thinking skills. It should not be all lecture- discussion method but integrating buzz sessions, brainstorming, role playing, visualization, understanding and making reflection out of a given quotation, think pair share, collage making, case studies, interviews, song interpretation, news reporting and debate. The key is to balance the activities to cover the complexity of the lessons. But in deciding what appropriate approach or strategy to be used, the

particular learning objective is the first thing to be considered.

Dealing with Controversial Topics In the course of a classroom debate, I always made sure to give first the house rules to maintain order in the activity. I did not allow my activity to be highly politized such that students may be naming names in dealing with sensitive and at times controversial issues. Topics like death penalty, Charter Change, tax reforms, SK election, impeachment issues, mis-use of funds or corruption can sometimes lead to

heated arguments. Cases like these, an AP teacher should always maintain control of the situation.

Be updated: In all books, datas regarding rates of population, inflation, unemployment, wages, taxes, Forex, even poverty index, GNI, PCI, CPI are posted a year ago or even two to three years ago. That would mean that its outdated, so as an AP teacher, it is a great challenge to be updated. Search for it in internet websites like NSA, DOLE, NWPC, BSP, Annual World Factbook and any other reliable sources.

Values oriented and Integrative lessons: There is always values integration in the lesson, that is developing the mamayang mapanagutan, makalikasan, makabansa at makatao. It is where students could connect the relevance of the lesson to their lives because it has real – world application. It is a big help if technology will be integrated in any activity.

It has also many interrelated disciplines that will provide opportunities for students to conduct inquiry, gather datas or make interviews which develop critical think-

ing skills. The teaching of Araling Panlipunan subject is expected to contribute to the development of a holistic citizen who is fully aware on the current social issues and concerns in the local and global level.

Domains of learning In teaching Araling Panlipunan always revolves around names, places, events and dates. This is recall or remembering which falls under the lower level in the Blooms Taxonomy. The construction of the lessons should contain the three main domains of learning which are cognitive (thinking), affective (emotion/feeling), and psychomotor (physical/ kinesthetic). I believe teachers should do more holistic lessons by using all domains in constructing learning tasks. This diversity helps to develop intellectual skills, higher reasoning abilities and critical thinking skills.

“Until now, the rubberized track oval installed in Tubod, Lanao Del Norte, some 20 years ago, remains in good shape while the deteriorated rubberized track oval in MOISC is no longer repairable,” Emano said.

He said that he would gladly welcome a probe into the operation, particularly financial, of the MOISC after an incumbent City Councilor alleged that the revenue of the sports center is spent for political purposes.

Emano did not mention the name of the City Councilor. However, City Councilor Ian Nacaya, a former political ally who unofficially joined Moreno’s Liberal Party after winning the city council in 2016, was the city official who criticized the provincial government’s financial management of MOISC. In an interview with Magnum radio last week, Nacaya wants the financial management of MOISC after insinuating that the city government should be given a fair share of its revenue.

The city government and the Department of Education owned a portion of the more than two-hectare MOISC also known formerly as the Pelaez Sports Center along Velez St. in Cagayan De Oro City, which is largely owned by the provincial government.

“The city government as well as the DepEd has a representative on the MOISC board that runs and manages the affairs of the sports center,” Emano said.

He said that he is wondering why the city government rants only now when the MOISC is already earning and that an urban village that is part of the city government is getting the “fair share.”

Emano said that he has no intention of buying the critics who simply want political mileage through mudslinging.

“All I can assure the people of Misamis Oriental is that the provincial government is doing good after overcoming and settling the Php 1.2 billion burden of indebtedness that the previous administration has placed, like a yoke on the people’s neck,” Emano said.

Join groups that partner with government to strengthen our security forces’ commitment to rights-based policing. Involve ourselves in research that studies the drug trade in the Philippines. Work together with the Church, government and CSOs to truly defeat the drug menace in the Philippines. Use privileged power and information to win this war.

Bayanihan sa Paaralan widely known as Brigada Eskwela has become a major duty of every government schools in the county. The main point of this program is to congregate stakeholders both from public agencies and private companies to aid and share for the improvement of schools. As the popular Indian adage goes, “It takes a whole village to educate a child”.

Without a doubt, to be committed to help, to share, and to care for the schools, comprising their adjacent community is something to realize. It is everyone’s duty to educate Filipino children-the hope of our nation.

To achieve the very essence of the above undertaking, several committees should be organized. To be chosen as one of these committees for the Brigada Eskwela is a privileged, yet has its symmetrical responsibility incorporates it.

From the several committees, one of which is the Advocacy and Marketing. This particular committee aims to invite, attract, gather, and find several benefactors or stakeholders in order to provide assistance to certain schools. It is merely synonymous to selling a product, thus, you must possess your own label enough to win your prospect clients.

First and foremost you must hold a good public relation (PR) power, confidence, and the drive to keep you focused.

As expected you will not only going to visit the medium ranks in the society, you are probably visiting several dignified individuals. Sometimes it is being misinterpreted that it is just an easy task to do which in fact it is not. One assigned to this type of responsibility must possess the passion of dealing with different personalities and convincing ability since outer part of the world is composed of different walks of life.

While getting along the process, you will understand the whole thing. Expect the probability that you had to print and reprint new letters because the highest position from a certain office was new.

Sometimes, you had to wait for several hours because the person you need to meet was still in a meeting, or worse, you

have to come back because the manager was out. Things like those mentioned-above were just fathomable stuff, except for those moments when you had to walk very fast and even did minor running to arrive on time or awful; to keep you dry when rain just suddenly poured from up the sky.

And the thrill did not ended after dropping all the letters, because it was just the beginning of the whole thing. You don’t need to presume that those offices or person contacted were coming. You don’t have to guess and expect possibilities; you have to be sure for an exact answer. Thus, follow up is the KEY. Therefore, you need to go along the first part of the course. Going back to several companies and talking back different people to gather the estimated head counts coming on the day of the said Brigada Eskwela. Right and then, you will be going to experience not to eat on time just to arrive at their offices before its closing time or break. Recognizing your own sentiments when you realize your feet were wet and itchy due to heavy rains and you had to walk through.

Finding your clothes dried up after sweating out because of the intense walk. Yet, you’d to be able to manage everything because you are the hope of your school’s success. You have to understand that among all other committees you are the one that solely have to function first, so all the rest will become useful. Why would I say that, they will count what resources you are going to bring and you have to realize that. When you bring nothing, they will also be counting nothing.

Thus, you must be motivated and guided by your own duty.

Have a determined mind and give all your trust and confidence to Him. When we are tasked, be happy and thankful, not everyone is blessed to be trusted by their immediate superiors. Learn the secret to fulfillment i.e. to do our very best and let God do the rest. Remember that His hands work for us but you have to use also yours to work for you. After all, it is you who will define your own purpose not Him. So be purposely DRIVEN.
