DAPITAN CITY, Zamboanga del Norte -- Three persons died after a roll-on/ on roll-off (RoRo) vessel from southern Cebu caught fire while at sea off Dapitan City on Wednesday, an official of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said. PCG spokesperson, Capt. Armando Balilo, in a message sent to reporters, said the victims include an infant identified as 19-month
old Chloe Labisig, Danilo Gomez Sr., 60, and another whose identity is still unknown. The 162 people onboard M/V Lite Ferry 16 were rescued with the help of private vessels -- 13 were rescued by a motor banca, 50 through a fast craft vessel, 39 through a cargo vessel, and 60 through another Procession Higalaay Festival.
