SSS releases P96B benefit in H1, benefits 3.19M members, pensioners The state-run Social Security System (SSS) on Tuesday said that almost P95.71 billion worth of benefits were disbursed to over 3.19 million members and pensioners in the first half of 2019 following the back-to-back implementation of Republic Acts 11220 (Expanded Maternity Leave Law or EMLL) and 11199 (Social Security Act of 2018) in May and June this year, respectively. SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Aurora C. Ignacio said the pension fund is and will always be happy to provide meaningful social security protection to its members and pensioners in times of contingencies. “This is indeed the purpose of the pension fund – to provide meaningful benefits to its members and pensioners. In the first half of 2019 alone, the number of beneficiaries and claims have already posted significant growth since the implementation of new laws and policies of the administration,” Ignacio said. Of the total benefit payouts, both for Social Security and Employee’s

Compensation, from January to June 2019, majority of the amount was released for retirement benefits worth P55.70 billion, an 8.6 percent increase from the P51.28 billion recorded in the same period last year. The number of retirement pensioners, including new pensioners, stood at 1.57 million for the said period. This is followed by benefit payouts for death claims which increased by 4.8 percent from P27.32 billion in the first half of 2018 to P28.63 billion for the same period this year. Death claim beneficiaries for the said period were recorded at one million. Moreover, the implementation of the EMLL in May this year further pushed the amount of benefits given to female beneficiaries in the first two quarters of 2019 to P4.13 billion or a 22.5 percent increase from the P3.37 billion released in the same period last year. Disability and funeral benefit disbursements also increased by 7.8 percent at P3.59 billion and 9.7 percent or P2.14 billion, respectively in the first

A ‘difficult test of unity’ While our globe is burning -in every respect- G7 Summit: EU’s Tusk says meeting will be ‘difficult test of unity’. Nothing new for us! Of course, the list of issues for this year’s G7 summit is long, with escalating trade tensions with the US, the UK’s pending exit from the EU and fires in the Amazon looming over leaders as they gather in southern France. What concerns me more or at the most? Everything. Fact is: anxieties over trade war and climate change hung heavy as world leaders gathered in southern France for the start of this year’s G7 summit on this Saturday (August 24, 2019) — with low hopes of leaders reaching a consensus by the end of the three-day meeting. Yes, very sad to say - very low hopes. European Council President Donald Tusk warned that this may be one of the last chances “to restore our political community.”

Speaking at a press conference, Tusk said this year’s meeting will be “a difficult test of the unity and solidarity of the free world and its leaders.” In my opinion - a lot of people are not realizing this. Unfortunately... . French President Emmanuel Macron, who is hosting the summit in the resort town of Biarritz, said one of his main objectives is to “convince all our partners that tensions, especially trade tensions, are bad for everyone.” Thousands of people gathered in the nearby town of Hendaye to protest against economic and environmental policies, urging world leaders to take action on climate change and other issues. Will it help? US President Donald Trump, one of the main players at the center of global tensions, arrived with his wife, Melania, in the afternoon. He and other leaders were due to be of-

ficially greeted by Macron later on in the evening. Shortly before leaving, Trump again threatened to levy new taxes on French wine over Paris’s digital tax on big tech companies. Tusk responded by saying that the European Union is prepared to “respond in kind” should the US president make good on this threat. The ongoing trade war between the US and China escalated shortly before the summit, after Trump raised tariffs. The US-China trade dispute is believed to be a major factor in the current global slowdown, raising concerns about a possible recession. And who is the one paying the bill? The massive, ongoing fires in the Amazon rain forest are also topping the agenda this year, with Macron threatening to withhold an EU trade agreement if Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro does not take action. The G7 will launch

Klaus Doring

“not just an appeal, but a mobilization of all the powers there, but in partnership with the countries of Amazonia,” to fight fires and invest in reforestation,” Macron said. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that she supports discussing the fires during the summit, but disagrees that blocking the Mercosur trade deal with South American countries would reduce the destruction of the rain forest in Brazil. Feng Shui Master

Japanese feng shui

They call feng shui as hoi gakku in Japan. Just like Chinese feng shui, they have feng shui for the house of the living and the dead, as in burial feng shui. All told feng shui was passed on to them from China and Korea. As the late Robert Ahkamine, a Japanese descent feng shui master in Manila in the decades of the 80s taught me, Japanese feng shui begins where Chinese feng shui ends!

Thus it is higher level natural feng shui discipline anchored on zen and Shinto religion. To this combined with the samurai spirit the Japanese March to present modernization and industrialization came to be silently aided by feng shui or hoi gakku principles propelling them ahead of China in the past! How their homes and cities civilized to cutting edge technologies in both architecture and civil engi-

neering is marvelous. But beneath the veneer is the closely guarded kept secrets of hoi gakku. Strict practical adherence bespeak of an uncommon nationalistic discipline akin to military mindsets! Contemporary research reveal that Japanese follow the Chinese or Japanese version of the feng shui almanac or calendar, the Tong Shu. It guides them through the four seasons as to lucky and unlucky days to plant,

build, groundbreaking, and the likes of human activities from marriage to burial dates. They call it butsu metso or taean days (unlucky and auspicious days)! Feng Shui like martial arts in China, also propagated via temple monk adSee JAPANESE, page 11

Of gifts, omission and commission By JUN LEDESMA PNA

THE last three years of the Duterte administration is the most crucial.it is noteworthy however that he has the leadership of the legislative department on his side because the achievement of his political and development agenda would depend largely on the lawmakers and the members of the cabinet. The President has dismissed a number of officials linked to graft and corruption in the first half of his presidency but he should brace himself with more thieves that would come to ransack the nation’s coffers past midnight. Addressing corruption does not end with mere dismissal of the culprits. The reason why there seems to be no end in curbing malfeasance in government is the absence of prosecution

and conviction. There is a weak link somewhere that emboldens the hoods to dip their fingers in the cookie jar. We all witnessed the frustration of the President. When he summoned the Fates for the ultimate earthquake magnitude to take place right in the middle of the big dome of the Barasang Pambansa what happened was a burst of thunderous laughter. It was a hyperbole in fact as he is wont to do, and it was not meant to humor anyone. In case they are not aware of it yet, it was meant to drive a shaft into the thick hides of officials who still cling like barnacles in such agencies like the Department of Health, PCSO, BIR, BOC, MWSS and those outside the Batasan plenary hall among them the local government units, the religious bigots and rebels who are not aware their ideology

had become irrelevant. In cathechism, we are taught that there are two kinds of sins: venial and mortal. There are two in government: the sin of omission and the sin of commission. The Marcoses were accused by domestic and western media for demanding 10% commission. In the US, however, firms and interest groups would set-aside a huge sum of money either to deter and derail or approve a proposed legislation. They call it lobby money or “grease” moolah. And it is legit. When Marcos was kicked out Cory Aquino took over and the Americans taught her what lobby money is. Benigno III must have been listening. Both learned a lot and became President with the help of mother America and funeral dirge. They say that history will judge what men and nation

did. The Aquino administrations institutionalized corruption in the country and while Marcos is guilty of the sins of commission the Aquinos improved on that and worse, we never had leaders so guilty of the sin of omission than the duo. Rodrigo Duterte on gifts -- Three weeks after he was sworn into office as Mayor of Davao City, he was invited to be guest of honor and speaker of a newly organized all-women Downtown Rotary Club. He came a bit too early for the occasion so he proceeded to a coffee shop adjacent to the venue. In the coffee shop were members of the City Council who were likewise invited by the Club. Duterte approached them and with a serious mien pointed at them. “Maayo kay ni-a mo”. (Good that you are here)_ “I am submitting my resignaSee OMISSION, page 11

Mich & Myl Nails turns one in CDO

Story by MARK FRANCISCO

M

ICH & Myl Nails, which pioneered gel nails in the country, will celebrate its first year of presence in Northern Mindanao. Conveniently located at the fourth level of SM CDO Downtown Premier, Mich & Myl Nails has been serving Kagay-anons and the rest of the population in this side of the island since August 27, 2018 and the reception has been awesome. “We always treat each client according to her/his distinct need. That’s why they always leave satisfied and looking forward to our services again,” owner Mylene C. Flores quips. Cagayan de Oro is indeed lucky for Mich & Myl Nails to put up shop here considering that the SM CDO Downtown Premier branch is their only outlet outside Metro Manila which has a presence of 13 Mich & Myl Nails branches there. Mich & Myl Nails started in 2011 when Mylene – who has been fascinated with nail beautification since her teen days – decided to

elevate the quality of nail care in the country and introduced gel nail polish for the first time in the Philippines. Thus, Mich & Myl Nails Ortigas was born in May that year. The reputation of Mich & Myl Nails soon grew nationwide that they branched out prolifically, setting up six more company-owned outlets while the rest were franchised. But Mylene, who hails from Medina, Misamis Oriental, still longed for a shop closer to home. Thus, Mich & Myl Nails SM CDO Downtown Premier was realized. Today, Mich & Myl Nails SM CDO Downtown Premier offers and maintains the same quality services it has enamored Metro Manilans. The following are just a few of the array of services they’re offering – gel French manicure, gel sculptured nails, gel fill in, gel floaters, gel nail arts (regular or special design), acrylic nail extensions, deluxe pedicure with foot mask, French pedicure and many more.

Of course, Mich & Myl Nails’ reputation doesn’t just come from its valued clients. It is also being noticed by experts as well. Mich & Myl Nails is a recipient of the Global Awards for Marketing and Business Excellence 2017,

Philippine Social Media Filipino Star Achiever Awards 2017, Philippine Social Media Star Brand Awards 2017, Philippine Awards for Outstanding Entrepreneurs/Achievers 2016-2017, Philippine Awards for Customer Service Excellence 2016-

2017, 12th National Product Quality Excellence Awards 20162017 and more. Thus, it can be rightfully said that Mich & Myl Nails is indeed the most advanced Philippines nail salon that specializes in gel nails.

A peaceful and orderly Kadayawan -- DCPO

D

AVAO CITY (PIA) -The Davao City Police Office recorded zero crime incidents related to the Kadayawan Festival celebrations. This according to Police Colonel Alexander Tagum, DCPO chief who said that they have not recorded pickpocketing incidents

during Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan (Street Dancing Competitions) and Pitik Pamulak sa Kadayawan (Floral Float Parade). There were also no untoward incidents that happened during the various activities of the festival. About 27,560 personnel coming from different security and

public safety units were deployed as part of the security plan of the 34th Kadayawan sa Davao. Among strict security measures include the prohibition on wearing jackets and the bringing of backpacks in the major activities of the festival. Davao City Vice-Mayor Sebastian Duterte who is currently the

acting mayor of the city lauded the security sector for the services they rendered during the Kadayawan. “Gusto lang nako pasalamaton atong kapulisan ug mga sundalo ug tanan nanarbaho for making this Kadayawan celebration very successful,” Vice-Mayor Duterte said.

Top military official confirms no more DavOr mayors supporting CPP-NPA DAVAO ORIENTAL – Amid the successful and intensified civilian-led peace and development campaign in the province, a top military official in the province says there are no more mayors in Davao Oriental who support the Communist New People’s Army. “There are no longer Left-leaning political leaders here. There are no longer mayors in Davao Oriental who support the CPP-NPA. The whole instrumentalities in Davao Oriental are for peace and development,” says Brig. Gen. Manuel Sequitin, commander of the Philippine Army’s 701st

Brigade, noting that this has been one of the many reasons why Davao Oriental at present is enjoying relative peace. The first-class province of Davao Oriental has eleven mayors as it has ten municipalities and one city. He said that this positive gain, which is a product of many years of sacrifices, birth pains and struggles, have stemmed from the people’s realization that supporting the Communist group and their allies only lead them to “misery.” “Surprisingly, left-leaning candidates and officials tend to lose during elec-

Many people have also experienced the government’s quality services, making them realize that supporting the enemy is pointless when the government is already addressing the pressing issues and gaps in their communities. PIA XI taps DepEd’s mobile teachers to promote cyber wellness DAVAO CITY (PIA) – The first batch of mobile teachers in the entire Davao Region has received multimedia materials from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) through #cyberREADi, a campaign launched in all member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) that tackles cyber wellness on the youth. The Philippiine Information Agency is collaborating with various government agencies along with the civic and private sector to ensure that cyber wellness promotion reaches the target audience. The mobile teachers are considered as the best partners in the partnership, with their capacity to mold and influence the lives of their learners. The DepEd XI has seen the relevance and importance of promoting cyber wellness of the youth as they admit how influential the cyber environment is shaping the lives of the youth. “The DepEd recognizes and appreciates this kind of campaign and we are happy that multimedia materials are carefully researched and produced to fit how

the youth would more appreciate these materials”, said Dr. Janet Veloso, Curriculum Learning Head of the DepEd XI. The materials shown to the mobile teachers are products of several steps that started with a Forum on Cyber Wellness for the Youth as held in Metro Manila last March 2018. It was followed by an audience analysis study as conducted by the UP College of Mass Communication Foundation Inc. (UPCMCFI) which gathered Filipino youth in sample regions for a focus group discussion. Results of the study were then made as basis in producing multimedia materials as distributed for this campaign. Six short videos that tackle issues on c yber privacy, online gaming, online dating, cyber scam, online shopping, and cyber bullying were shown to the mobile teachers. They requested to have these videos as their teaching resources. Veloso said the DepEd appreciates these kinds of materials. She added that teachers

PH Radiology Oncology Society debunk common misconceptions on cell towers

LOCAL radiation authority reaffirmed that proximity to cell sites does not cause any known health risks, contrary to what many homeowners associations believe. Philippine Radiology Oncology Society Vice-President Dr. Johanna Cañal addressed almost 400 medical professionals and oncology experts during a radiation safety symposium last August 3. Citing studies from global radiation authorities like Federal Communications Commission, the American Cancer Society, and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Dr. Cañal said two decades’ worth of research showed no adverse health effects linked to mobile phone use or nearby cell towers. “So there have been many stories, but there has been no proven

He als o underlined that the positive inroads on peace and order were also the result of a joint efforts between the civilian government and the military. “There were no best practices on peace and development that the military or the government did alone,” he said. Governor Nelson Dayanghirang, who has been known to be outspoken against the NPA atrocities and has been openly convincing remaining members of the NPA to surrender, said that he is “thankful that there are no longer

causality between cellphone use and cancer induction. What does the USA FDA say about this? In 2018, the current safety limit is set to include a 50-fold safety margin from observed effect on radiation. How about cell towers and base stations? The American Cancer Society says at ground level, near typical base stations, the amount of RF energy is thousands of times less than the limits for safe exposure,” Dr. Cañal said. “In the past 20 years, have we found any causal effect? The answer is no. Texting while driving or walking will cause more harm than radiation from cell phone use or cell tower. So far, the science says, there is no evidence to say that cell phone use or a nearby cell tower causes cancer,” she added. The International Agency for Research on Cancer, an agency

Through his programs like the Nagkakaisang Lingkod-Bayan ng Davao Oriental Barangay Outreach Caravan and the localized implementation of President Duterte’s Executive Order 70 or Whole-ofNation Approach to Attain Sustainable Peace and to End Insurgency, Governor Dayanghirang hopes to inspire more local leaders to place their support to the government’s programs instead of the Leftist forces “who have done nothing

of the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2011 placed radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic radiation coming from cell sites BELOW the “ban” category, which is deemed safe. The WHO agency classified RF radiation from cell sites as “2B,” wherein peanut butter, pickled vegetables, coffee, and aloe vera are also included. Globe has long taken up the sore issue of challenges in building cell sites as it noted that many homeowner associations (HOAs) continue to oppose cell site proposals made by the company due to alleged health hazards. During the radiation safety symposium, Engr. Gerhard Tan, Director for Technology Strategy & Service Integration at Globe, emphasized that the Philippines badly needs to build new sites if it wants to overcome signal problems and access to internet services.

“We are urging everyone who are here to spread awareness that RF electromagnetic radiation coming from cell sites is not cancerous. Debunking this health myth will help us hasten the build of more cell sites in the Philippines, which in effect, will bring the country closer to first world internet connectivity,” said Eng’r Tan. To date, around 67 million active internet users in the Philippines are sharing 17,850 cell sites. Thus, the country is forced to serve an average of 3,753 people per cell site. This is a stark difference to some of its neighboring countries like China, where only 381 active internet users are sharing one cell site. Globe’s aggressive bid to build more cell sites is in line with its commitment to expand network coverage and capacities for better internet experience of its customers.

all of us who live here in Davao Oriental will eventually benefit on the fruits of peace that we have sown,” said Governor Dayanghirang. (PR-LGU DavOr/ Karen Lou Deloso)

Pediatric psychology and education By MILA C. GONZALES Master Teacher I Puerto Elementary School

BOTH parents and educators play pivotal roles in an elementary child’s education across the entire pedagogical trajectory. However, the world is changing rapidly and so are children’s educational needs. There is a push to create more individual programs for learning in some academic arenas, creating a number of challenges for educational institutions. All children are entitled

to a fair chance to live up to their potential. That includes intellectually bright and gifted kids. All kids grow from being asked open ended questions rather than being lectured to. Encourage your child to ask you and others why questions. It’s both a sign of intelligence and a sure way to help your child grow. Honor your child’s individuality as you’d want others to honor yours.

Encourage good friendships. There’s some evidence that peers may influence a child more than a parent does. Whether true or not, peers certainly matter. So make sure your child’s friends are smart and nice and good influencers. Lastly, choose your child’s school carefully. Be active in the PTA. Do choose a school – public or private – in which there are lots of smart kids.

They have observed that the materials would really capture the interest of young learners since these are short but very appealing videos. The #cyberREADi Campaign was recently launched in Quezon City and is currently being rolled out nationwide. In Davao Region, a regional launch is scheduled on August 30, 2019 during the special episode of Kapihan sa PIA where partners like the DepEd, the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) and the National Youth Commission (NYC) will be present for the media launch. Cyber wellness as defined by the Singaporean Ministry of Education refers to the positive well-being of Internet users especially among the young. The cyberREADi campaign teaches values such as being responsible on what is posted online; showing empathy by being respectful on how online behavior may affect others; being authentic by showing the truth; being discerning in the choice of information sources; and having integrity by speaking up against negative online behavior. Wednesday, August 28, 2019 Esperanza also finds the campaign beneficial to small business owners. “Malaking menos sa gastos at tulong sa araw-araw. Kasi may maliit na carinderia kami sa amin, kaya noong nabalitaan ko ‘to, hinanda ko na agad yung mga bote-bote rito sa bahay. Mas maganda kung magkakaroon nito malapit sa amin,” she explained. Encouraged by these initiatives, consumers here have clamored for similar refilling stations to be set up around the city. “When we had a sari sari store long time ago, I remember people bringing their soft drink bottle to buy kerosene, no plastic bottle was used during those days,” recalls Mel Francisco C. Cucueco. “We do not have much choice but to bring our own bottles. Ban single-use plastic bottles now,” said environmentalist Bencyrus Ellorin, former executive director of environment watchdog Task Force Macajalar. “Timely and environmentally friendly,” said Ronilo Ravanera, a founding member of the local consumer group Konsumanteng Kagay-anon, Inc. “Yes yes kaayo! We at the Council can help them also disseminate,” said Dr. Hilly Ann Roa Quiaoit, executive director of the Cagayan de Oro River Basin Management Council. “Dapat. Kung hindi ngayon kailan?” said Raoul Geollegue, a former DENR Regional Executive Director who is now a consultant of the environment group Hineleban Foundation which is engaged in the reforestation of the mountain ranges of Mindanao by partnering with the Indigenous Peoples living in the buffer zone areas, introducing Arabica coffee as a source of livelihood, and transforming the IP’s to guardians of the forest. Still other consumers are encouraged by the refilling stations, coming as they are on the heels of the city government’s strict implementation of the ban on single use plastics in supermarkets and public markets. “Seriously, I practice bring-your-own-container when I buy fish from the street vendor,” said Elson Elizaga. “He puts a cellophane of fish on a weighing scale. Then I transfer the fish to our bowl and return the cellophane to him.” The Philippines throws away 60 billion sachets every year, the Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives (GAIA) estimates based on its five-year waste audit. These wastes remain in our environment for thousands of years, polluting our lands, seas, and air. A total of 48 million shopping bags were used per day, adding up to more than 17.5 billion a year, GAIA said. A 2018 study by the United Nations Environment Program showed that the

Philippines is among the top five countries that produce the most plastic waste in the world. The world produces 300 million tons of plastic waste annually, 99 percent of which are non-renewable chemicals like high-density polyethylene mostly used in shampoo bottles. Earlier, other companies such as Unilever and Human Heart Nature also launched similar refilling stations for personal care products and cosmetics, and home cleaning products. Unilever’s All Things Hair Refillery Station pilot ran in March -April 2019 in Trinoma, Glorietta 3, and Alabang Town Center. Consumers brought their empty, clean shampoo or conditioner bottles to the refilling station, refilled these at the matching product pumps, and paid for their products based on the weight of their refill. Even those without empty bottles were able to buy refillable bottles for only 10 pesos each, thus minimizing plastic waste from their households, and got their hair at a much cheaper price. Similarly, eco-friendly advocate Human Heart Nature (HHN) also rolled out 2 refilling stations in its flagship store in Commonwealth and in a Quezon City mall last March for its “fast-moving” home care products such as liquid detergent, dishwashing liquid and baby bottle and utensil cleanser which were sold per gram. HHN founder Anna Meloto-Wilk said consumers just needed to bring empty, clean, dry and sanitized bottles for product refills, and they are now working with designers to come up with simpler versions for nationwide implementation. Human Nature is also lobbying with the government to allow refilling for cosmetic products to further reduce waste. Together with environmental advocates and nonprofits like Save the Philippine Seas, Mother Earth Foundation, Greenpeace Southeast Asia-Philippines, and WWF Philippines, Meloto-Wilk has filed a petition with the Food and Drug Administration( FDA) to change the existing rules to be more responsive to refilling setups. They also have an ongoing online petition where they raised three opportunities that deals with safety, traceability, and adaptation of the products for the agency to enhance the implementing rules and regulations of Republic Act No. 9711 (The Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009). Meloto-Wilk argues that that if water refilling is allowed provided refillers comply with set standards, a similar setup for cosmetics and home products should also be accommodated. “We seek to bridge the policy gaps and promote a sea change in the way

responsible Filipino companies and ordinary citizens use plastic—not just temporary measures, but permanent and lasting policies, structures, and systems,” the proponents argued in their petition. Besides Unilever and HHN, other brands such as Lush, Ecobar and Suds have starting selling shampoo bars to minimize the use of single-use plastic containers./ For more information about BYOB, visit https:// nutriasia.com/bring-yourown-bottle/

nutrition program towards healthier behaviors and better learning outcomes. “We should continue advocating the OK sa DEPED Program for full learning potential of students,” she added. Aside from this, Paderanga said “OK sa DepEd” will also ensure that all DepEd school health personnel and school children “practice healthier behavior that they can do on their own, and get linked up with health providers and local government units (LGUs) for child and adolescent health services.” Under the One Health Week initiatives such as orientation of parents, communities, partners and other stakeholders; school health and age-appropriate services; launching of age-appropriate health and hygiene practices; rapid classroom inspection, conduct of daily cleaning and the needed repair or maintenance; kickoff of activities such as the SBFP and the Gulayan sa Paaralan; exhibits/symposium of Dengue awareness, Barkada Kontra Droga; and open house of canteens featuring healthy food and beverage choices. OK sa DepEd and the One Health Week should mobilize the community and promote collaboration with partners and stakeholders, especially at the school level. Thank you for being with us in making a difference in the lives of the children here in CRIBS Foundation,” she told the employees of DMCI Homes. Inspired by the experience, DMCI Homes employees, vowed to do more to help CRIBS Foundation, Inc. give a safe and loving home environment for each child resident. “Seeing those eyes of the children that are full of hope, makes me want to commit and go beyond to share what I have and to volunteer more to help these kids,” DMCI Homes employee Ren Jayag shared. Singing for the children of CRIBS Foundation, Inc. was not just rewarding but therapeutic as well added another employee volunteer, Lou Brigette Ramos. “Seeing their smiles, playing with them and experiencing their hugs, is very therapeutic. This is indeed one for the books. It only proves that DMCI Homes is not just committed to build homes but also to help build lives,” she beamed. As part of its “Kaakbay” corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, DMCI Homes in 2017 also donated construction and finishing materials for the new CRIBS Foundation, Inc. shelter in Antipolo City, which also houses the “Receiving Home” facility for the abandoned, neglected and surrendered infants aged 0-3 years old. Kaakbay is a DMCI Homes CSR initiative that aims to support advocacies beneficial to the Filipino society. (PR)
