CAGAYAN de Oro City-Cagayan de Oro has declared war against Dengue as “Oplan Kontra Dengue,” a massive cleanup drive, kick off in a motorcade here Tuesday. Just as Cagayan De Oro City raises armed against Dengue, the city of Iligan was declared under “the state of calamity” as Dengue cases climbed in that neighboring city, 88 kilometers west of here. ILIGAN City--A parish priest from one of the parishes in Lanao del Norte died due to cardiac arrest, Tuesday morning, August 20, in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. Fr. Chito Soganub said around 250 priests from all over the Philippines were preparing for the Episcopal ordination of Bishop-elect Jose Rapadas at 9 a.m. on August 19 when Fr. Albert Trazo was seen sweating. He was immediately brought to the nearby hospital but expired while on the way. “I just heard they are looking for a rescue and ambulance and I learned that Fr. Trazo was brought to the hospital,” Soganub said in a phone interview. While the homily was ongoing, somebody was looking for “a priest from Iligan” because Trazo has to be prayed over. “The next information we got, he was dead,” Soganub said. Trazo is presently serving a parish priest in Maigo, Lanao del Norte, which is under the territorial
