GROUP calling itself Hugpong sa Nagpakabanang Kagay-anon is urging Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno to declare an enhanced community quarantine here. The group's call was contained in a manifesto that was signed by 75 persons, most of them civic community leaders in the city. The group's de facto leader Dr. Meneleo Navarro cited the alarming rise of COVID-19 cases in the country as the reason of their call. As of April 1, the Philippines has a total of 2,311
coronavirus cases with 96 deaths. "We do not have adequate hospitals and medical facilities, equipment, personal protective equipment and gear, testing kits, and critically the needed human health resources to address a possible sudden surge of COVID-19 cases in the city," the group stated.
