DAVAO City--At least 3,866 military and police personnel will be deployed during the 62nd Palarong Pambansa (National Games), the country’s biggest local sporting event, from April 27 to May 4 in Davao City, according to Public Safety and Security Command Center head Angel Sumagaysay.

Sumagaysay said in an interview the security plan had already been prepared weeks ahead of the annual multi-sport event involving student-athletes from 17 regions of the Philippines, which would draw a crowd of around 20,000.

That’s how coups are staged.

Except that in this instance, there is no discernible support from the police and the military, much less the people.

OUST-DUTERTE PLOT BARED

“There is a plot to discredit the President and destabilize his government,” a highly placed source in the Office of the President said.

“There’s an obvious pattern of close coordination among some media organizations for the timely publication of anti-Duterte stories,” the source told this writer.

The playbook is all too familiar: Utilize the media, plant fake news, distribute them to the friendly media outlets, whet the people’s appetite, arouse their anger, manipulate public emotion, touch base with the Leftist organization, enlist the support of the police and the military, then go for the “kill.”

That’s how coups are staged.

Except that in this instance, there is no discernible support from the police and the military, much less the people.

For a coup to succeed, it is critical to have the support of the people. Unfortunately for coup plotters in this country, the people have grown tired and weary of coups. More importantly, various polls have shown that President Rodrigo Duterte still enjoys the overwhelming support of the masses. His ratings have remained in the stratospheric levels for the past three years despite the incessant attacks by the opposition.

The Matrix A document provided to The Manila Times over the weekend by the same source shows what appears to be a coordinated media campaign to discredit the President.

Under the heading, “Association Matrix Between BIKOY and ELLEN TORDESILLAS,” (all caps supplied), the matrix illustrates the flow of news from the source to a nexus or distributor and finally to the individual journalists for publication. It also names the journalists and organizations involved in the alleged plot to blacken the image of the President.

“A group sympathetic to the President and deeply involved in the IT business had tracked the flow of information from its source

to its various media assets and decided to provide the information to the President out of concern,” the source said.

Media participants in the Oust-Duterte move “Bikoy,” obviously a pseudonym, was the source of the black propaganda, the matrix shows. From Bikoy, the stories go to Ellen Tordesillas, president of Vera Files, who acts as the nexus and distributor of the materials to the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ), Rappler and the National Union of People’s Lawyers (NUPL).

These organizations, in turn, distribute the false narratives to their respective members.

Tordesillas also currently serves as a fact-checker for Facebook. The matrix, however, did not disclose the real identity of Bikoy.

Save for the NUPL, a leftist group, the rest of the people from Rappler, Vera Files and the PCIJ named in the matrix are members of the media. It would now appear that these journalists are collaborating with the Left in their effort to destabilize the government, the matrix shows.

“Wala namang tao na ganoon (referring to Bikoy),” the source said. The series of invented stories against the President was part of the black propaganda campaign by the Yellows, the source added. The opposition couldn’t accept that the ratings of the President remain stratospheric.

“Mataas ang credibility ni Presidente.” They could not believe that despite the series of black propaganda campaign against the President, his popularity and trust ratings remain unaffected.

Vera Files, the PCIJ and Rappler received largesse from various foreign sources, the source said, without specifying a figure.

Plotters desperate Two other independent sources confirmed that there is an active plot to oust the President. It was obvious, they said. For one thing, it is not the duty of the press or the media to be at the forefront of an active campaign to unseat a duly elected President. The role of the press is to inform

the public and expose the shenanigans, venalities and corruption in government; but certainly not to participate in any manner or form in any campaign to destabilize the government.

The media is supposed to be the purveyors of truth, not an instrument to plot against a sitting President, they added.

They said it became particularly vicious when Bikoy in his second video episode of the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” series, accused the President’s 14-year old daughter, Veronica and his partner, Honeylet, of receiving “payoffs from the illegal drug trade and depositing such transactions in banks in Hong Kong.”

Pati ‘yung kanyang ina na nananahimik sa Davao, isinangkot? Laking kabulastugan n’yan,” one of them said, to which the other agreed.

Another tall tale was when Bikoy accused erstwhile presidential assistant Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go of receiving kickbacks from the drug lords; that his takes were deposited in four local banks; and that his foreign bank transactions had reached P3.7 billion from 2010 to 2018. The accuser did not offer any shadow of proof to back up his accusations.

This ‘matrix’ provided to The Manila Times over the weekend by a source shows what appears to be a coordinated media campaign to discredit the President.

Paid hacks in media Another media practitioner sees malice and ill intent on the part of Ellen Tordesillas when she acted as distributor of the antiDuterte stories, as the matrix shows. “Normally, a journalist would not share her story with other journalists or media outlets, especially if it is an enterprise or exclu-

sive story. He or she would naturally want to have a scoop.”

If it is true that Ellen participated in the distribution of the story — whether that is legitimate or otherwise — at the very least, she will be guilty of unethical practice.

And if she was paid for doing so, then she would be nothing more than a paid hack, a cheap propagandist, and therefore, fair game for the administration, he said.

The same is true in the case of Vera Files, Rappler and the PCIJ. They appear to have received massive foreign funding, which is against our Constitution, and, therefore, these media outfits cannot claim objectivity. Their critical Duterte stories become suspect.

To this date, they have not refuted allegations of foreign funding by our eminent writer, former ambassador Rigoberto Tiglao, in amounts that he said have ranged from $106,000 to $278,000.

Parish priest urges parishioners to vote for environment-advocate candidates

MANTICAO, Misamis Oriental--The highest peak in Misamis Oriental, which is located in Manticao town, in Misamis Oriental province has become the place for Catholic devotees to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ by doing

the “stations of the cross”.

The Dunque Hill, about 26 kilometers from the town proper, is more or less 2,600 feet above sea level.

Located in Barangay Upper Malubog, it is where several towers of telecommunications were built.

the King sub-parish, said they started utilizing the area in 2015 for the “stations of the cross” after years of doing it in the main streets of Barangay Tu-od where the parish church is located.

Tu-od and the Dunque Hill has ten-kilometer distance. Although passable by a four-wheeled vehicle,

residents and most tourists would use motorcycle as their means of transportation in going to the area for sight seeing.

“We observed that there was no sense of sacrifice in the previous area where we held the via crucis (way to the cross), there was no meaning at all. Other

devotees would not even finish up to the last last station. You cannot feel even a little sacrifice like what Jesus Christ did to save us,” Datoy said.

When the church decided to do the via crucis in Dunque, two dumptrucks of the local government unit of Manticao would

transport parishioners to the first station, which is six kilometers away from the parish church.

From the first station, devotees will walk going to the next station, passing through rough and hilly roads, with 300 to 400-meter distance.

PRRD endorses PDP-Laban bets; Go vows to continue promise of change CABADBARAN CITY, Agusan del Norte, April 21, 2019 – President Rodrigo Duterte today rallied for former Special Assistant to the President and senatorial candidate Bong Go, the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan senatorial ticket and their guest candidates during the PDP-Laban campaign rally at Caraga State University.

“Akala nila dahil isang aide lang siya, ‘yung tagakarga lang. Hindi iyan,” President Duterte said.

He showed up at the rally wearing Go’s campaign t-shirt. “ Twenty one years na syang nasa sa akin.

Maraming dumaan sa kamay nito dahil sya ang aking pinagkakatiwalaan,” Duterte added. He earlier noted that not a single centavo went missing in the funds he had entrusted to the former SAP. Duterte said that being a man of integrity, Go can be trusted by the people to be a senator who can be his partner in his effort to rid the government of corrupt officials.

Go assured the people of the province that he

would continue to support the programs and policies of President Rodrigo Duterte.

“Ipagpapatuloy ko po ang mga pagbabagong nasimulan ni Pangulong Duterte, lalong-lalo na po ang kampanya laban sa corruption, kriminalidad at droga,” Go said.

To help settle armed conflicts, Go vowed that he would support the government’s reintegration program for rebels and pursue localized peace talks.

“Susuportahan ko ang Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) ng ating gobyerno,” Go said.

Some benefits of ECLIP include livelihood assistance, payment for surrendered firearms, and free skills trainings.

Go wants to augment the program with bigger cash assistance, medical care, free housing, and other benefits.

Localized peace talks are in pursuant to the Executive Order recently issued by President Rodrigo Duterte creating the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed

Conflict. As a senator, Go would consider creating other laws that would strengthen or supplement the executive order.

He also promised to prioritize free health care. “Sisiguraduhin kong maayos na mapatupad ang Universal Health Care Law upang maging zero billing na sa ating mga ospital. Patuloy rin po akong tutulong sa pamahalaan sa pagpapatayo ng mga Malasakit Center.”

Malasakit Center is a one-stop shop for financial assistance from different government agencies, such as the Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, Social Security System, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation.

“Sa ngayon, 34 na ang Malasakit Center na nabu-

buksan, at isa sa mga ito ay nasa Butuan Medical Center,” Go added. “Lahat ng taga-Agusan del Norte ay welcome na humingi ng tulong doon. Nais ko na magkaroon tayo ng isang Malasakit Center sa bawat probinsiya at malaking lungsod sa Pilipinas.”

For farmers, Go vowed to give them easy access to their needs such as machineries, fertilizers, seeds, irrigation, lowinterest credit and free

trainings.

His other plans include salary increase for nurses and teachers, salary and bonuses for barangay officials, youth and sports development center for every local government unit, free maintenance medicine for senior citizens, and free school supplies for students.

He also promised to help establish a Department of Overseas Filipino Workers and to continue his support to the administration’s three-point program against illegal drugs, crimes and corruption.

Likewise, Go said the people can always rely on him to help bring to the attention of President Duterte any concerns that they may have, including corruption in government.

“Noon, ngayon at saan man ako ipadpad ng tadhana, patuloy ninyo akong magiging tulay kay Pangulong Duterte. Basta kami, serbisyo lang sa tao dahil ang serbisyo sa tao ay serbisyo sa Diyos. Wala po kaming ibang hangarin ni Pangulong Duterte kundi kabutihan ng bawat Pilipino dahil mahal namin kayo,” he said.

A holy and dangerous day

EVERYONE is different.

For some, Sunday is a day to relax, to unwind, to steam off, to belch out the heavy burdens of the mind and the heart - breathing space in between weeks and weeks of hard work. That is why people fill up the streets, crowd the parks, and the beaches on Sundays. The disco and the pub houses, the eateries and -mostly- the shopping malls make good money on this day. It’s a day of Gold. The loss of some is the gain of others.

Though most enjoyable, Sunday at the same time is a dangerous day. Since it is here where people come together, and it comes only once in seven days, a certain spirit of freedom and merriment pervades during that day. That is why in our ‘celebration’, we can’t avoid jostling one another, rubbing our shoulders against

other’s shoulders and in the process, friction is produced that can destroy the gaiety of this most blessed day.

Sayang kaayo!

Taking advantage of this short day of ‘freedom’, we sometimes lose control of ourselves, our senses especially out tongue, the most dangerous part of our body.

I wrote already about it in previous columns at this corner. Yes, the tongue can incite, divide and hurt. The tongue is oftentimes the author of distrust, and suspicion leading to isolation and non-communication.

Now is the end of friendship. While the tongue can praise, worship and give honor, it is amazing how much harm it does in just one day. Sunday - the day of the jackal?

Sunday is a day first for others; secondly, only for ‘me’! Yes, there are zeal-

ous people out there, who want to put their free day into good use with a noble purpose. It is a day to visit and cheer up the patients in the hospitals; the prisoners in jail; a day to learn more - another language, bible, piano-playing, cooking lessons. And at the end of the Sunday, these lowly lives sigh, “Day-off nga, lalo namang pagod”. Yes, some don’t feel well, but the desire being on service is enough reservoir of strength. Others almost find no time taking some food but the satisfaction and the fulfillment is beyond measure. I learned this many times especially from my nurse-students: Learning the German language while still being on duty in several hospitals in Mindanao.

But they should not fail to see the good people in the church - and there are still a lot of them in there. And besides, why go and look for the bad instead of seeking the good?

But granting that you and I are the cause of scandal, we ought to reflect very, very seriously and be ready to accept reality even if it is hurting our pride and self esteem. No one can search See HOLY, page 11

Desperate black propaganda THE road to perdition for the gasping Liberal Party is as slippery as the fate of its senatorial candidates in the coming mid-term elections this May 13. It’s political banner “Otso Deretso” had disentegrated. By itself the party is like a powder keg out to implode. It is a mixture of leftists and rightists that offer no viable alternative but to restore the inept and corrupt regime of the two chapters of Aquino government. Just about the only credentials that the Aquino regimes are famous for is their loyalty and subservience to the United States of America. The incumbent Pres. Rodrigo R. Duterte on the otherhand is a departure from his prdecessor in that he restored the dignity of the Filipinos and defined

what sovereignty is for the Philippines. He might have a dirty mouth but he has a heart of a true patriot.

Of late, the concerted efforts of the anti-Duterte forces has taken a desperate move aimed at demonizing the first family on the heels of the recent poll surveys showing at least 10 of Hugpong Ng Pagbabago and PDP-Laban slate making it to the magic 12. This collosal setback of the LP or “dilawan” faction becomes even more humiliating when both Pulse Asia and the Social Weather Station registered unprecedented Trust and Approval Ratings for President Duterte. These eloquently translate to the people’s trust for Duterteled senatorial ticket.

Rights Watch and some US Congressmen to demonize and assail President Duterte is not gaining any mileage. They have exhausted whatever they can exploit from the issues of violent campaign against illegal drug syndicates, extra-judicial killings, repression of freedom of the press and the detention of Sen. Leila De Lima. Failing to generate public approval on these overused issues their wrecking crew have perceptively revved up their propaganda machineries to conjure other issues to stave off the free fall of the opposition candidates.

But none of these makes a negative impact on the preference for the administration senatorial bets. By their vote of confidence, the

DAR employees warned vs procuring agency lots DEPARTMENT of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary John R. Castriciones recently warned the agency’s employees against acquiring lots within DAR’s resettlement projects and other agrarian areas.

In an order released April, Castriciones said sanctions await personnel who process applications “resulting in the transfer of lots in DAR administered resettlement projects to individuals/entities who are not actually qualified beneficiaries under the agrarian reform program.”

This warning form part of DAR Administrative Order No. 3, Series of 2019, that outlines new rules and procedures in the disposition of homelots in barangay sites and residential, commercial and industrial lots in townsites within DAR resettlement projects.

The objective of DAR A.O. No. 3, Series of 2019 is to accelerate the completion of titling of the said parcels of land in the resettlement projects of the agency.

The same AO also describes qualified applicants as Filipino citizens who are residents of the concerned barangays, at least 18 years of age, and should be “willing to occupy and have the aptitude to improve/develop the homelot or other lots within the project.” Rebel returnees and those affected by disasters or calamities may also apply.

Meanwhile award limits are set at a maximum of 1,000 square meters in aggregate of residential and commercial lots per applicant.

The mode of disposition, cost of lots, and terms and manner of payments, among other details can be found in the new A.O. “A.O. No. 1, Series of 1992 and all orders, circulars, memoranda, rules and regulations or portions thereof inconsistent herewith are hereby revoked or cancelled accordingly,” the new order ended.

Earth Day Plea: Wanted: Environmental Rights Champions at the National and Local Levels 21 April 2019, Quezon City.

With barely three weeks left before the May 13 national and local elections, the EcoWaste Coalition urged the electorate to look for and support aspiring political leaders who will take up the cudgels for the people’s environmental rights.

The group pointed to the need for voters to elect true champions for the environment as the impacts of climate change, marine pollution and hazardous waste trade become more obvious every day in the Philippines and globally.

“As we mark the Earth Day on April 22, we call upon all registered voters

to pick national and local candidates and party-list groups who will genuinely work with and for the people in ensuring a clean, healthy, safe and sustainable environment for all,” said Aileen Lucero, National Coordinator, EcoWaste Coalition.

“At the Senate and the House of Representatives, we need legislative leaders who will defend existing pollution prevention laws such as the ban on waste incineration and who will take the lead in ensuring the enactment of long overdue environmental acts such as the ban on single-use plastic and the ban on foreign waste importation,” she said.

“We need senators and representatives across the political spectrum who will actively engage in getting national laws and regulations adopted to protect the environment against further degradation and uphold environmental health and justice,” she emphasized.

The EcoWaste Coalition, she said, is very much concerned with increasing chemical and plastic pollution that poses serious threat to the health of the overall environment, especially the world’s oceans.

“At the provincial, city and municipal councils, we need to install grassroots lawmakers who will file and

fight for ordinances aimed at protecting the public health and the environment,” Lucero said.

“We want to see local government units promulgating ordinances that will ‘promote health and safety and enhance the right of the people to a balanced ecology’ in line with the general welfare clause of Republic Act 7160, or the Local Government Code,” she said.

“We need more local government executives who possess the political will to promote and uphold the environmental rights of their constituents,” she further said.

according to the Friends of the Earth International, “are human rights, as people’s livelihoods, their health, and sometimes their very existence depend upon the quality of and their access to the surrounding environment as well as the recognition of their rights to information, participation, security and redress.”

The EcoWaste Coalition expressed its hope that registered voters numbering 61,843,750, according to the COMELEC, will use their inherent discerning abilities to choose candidates and groups who will work and fight for their environmental rights.

Job, business fair; OFW hospital highlight on Labor Day SIMULTANEOUS job and business fair in 29 sites across the country will mark the nationwide observance of Labor Day next week, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said on Monday.

Bello said among the highlights of the May 1 festivities is the groundbreaking of the first-ever OFW hospital in San Fernando, Pampanga, “to showcase the Duterte administration’s grateful recognition of our overseas Filipino workers and the Filipino workingmen in general.”

Initially, the Bureau of Local Employment placed at more than 1,500 the participating employers who will be bringing with them over 200,000 local and overseas jobs in the massive Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) and Build Build Build job and business caravan.

The main site for the combined TNK-BBB job and business fair is at the Kingsborough International Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga where an initial 150 employers (130 local and 20 overseas placement agencies) will offer vacancies. Available jobs locally are mostly in the field of construction under the government’s Build Build Build program,

while skilled professionals, including English teachers for Thailand, are open for overseas placement.

Also at the same site will be simultaneous learning sessions on topics such as the Philippine Qualifications Framework by the Department of Education; How to Start a Business by the Department of Trade and Industry; and skills demonstration by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, which will also raffle off 100 training scholarships.

The National Reintegration Center for OFWs and Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns will conduct a livelihood seminar for interested jobseekers, while the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration will hold a Pre-Employment Orientation, with Pag-IBIG Fund providing information on the fund’s benefits.

The nearby soon-to-rise OFW hospital will be financed by Overseas Workers Welfare Administration donors, to be administered by the Department of Health.

CAGAYAN DE ORO -- The Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT), formerly known as Mindanao International Container Terminal Services Inc. (MICTSI), said that it is rolling out improvements and upgrades at its port terminal, part of an ongoing strategy to become a premier international gateway in Mindanao.

Security in Davao to remain tight for Palaro 2019

DAVAO CITY -- Despite Saturday’s explosion inside the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) headquarters, the city and the entire region was generally peacefully during the observance of the Holy Week.

This was the assessment made by the Police Regional Office (PRO) – 11, but tight security measures will continue to be implemented with the upcoming 2019 Palarong Pambansa hosted by this city.

DAVAO CITY -- The cause of the explosion that ripped through the stockroom of the Explosive Ordnance Unit at the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) on Saturday remains unknown though explosives which were kept as court evidence have been moved to a safer place.

DCPO Director, Col. Alexander Tagum on Sunday said the cause of the explosion is still under investigation, as he urged everyone not to speculate on the cause of the incident.

“We can’t speculate on what was exploded because

presently, a post-blast investigation was conducted by the EOD Team led by Major Garcia of Police Regional Office 11 that supervises the accounting and readership operation inside the stock room of DCPO’s EOD unit,” Tagum said.

Tagum said those explosives were kept in custody of the DCPO EOD unit as court evidence. Among the explosives were grenades seized from the Maute family, that was arrested at the Sirawan checkpoint in 2017 following the Marawi siege.

“In spite of its proper storage (in accordance to

EOD Storage Standard), it accidentally exploded -- for a still unknown reason,” he said.

He also denied that the stockroom contains mixed materials for explosives.

“It’s not true, the unexploded explosive ordnance (UXO) that are vintage bomb recovered (from construction activities) were placed in another area while the materials for court evidence were in another area of the stock room,” he said.

“Under the EOD protocol on the proper disposal of recovered evidence cannot

The community of Barangay Corrales, parents, and local officials alike are grateful to have the school building finally constructed. They no longer worry of having their children walk home, especially late at night, since the school is now just a 5-minute walk from their respective houses.

When Nanay Soleng passed away, she left the modest fortune that she and Governor Ite had saved to all her children. By this time the marriage of Duterte to Elizabeth was annulled. The Mayor took a new partner later, Honeylet Avancena, a registered nurse who worked as supervisor for a long time in US hospital. A woman with a knack for business, Honeylet invested her savings on fast food chains. She never meddles in Duterte’s politics and shies away from the public. The few times she appears in public was when Veronica, nicknamed “Kitty” was born to the couple.

Consultant of Northern Mindanao Natural Resources Council, Inc. (Normin NRC Inc.), has cited the San Francisco Water District (SFWD) for its relentless effort in preserving the sustainable watershed since 1997 that it can now combat climate change and the ill effects of El Niño.

“The sustainable management of Mt. Magdiwata watershed by SFWD is the best example of long term solution to the current water crisis in the country,” Calomot said.

SFWD has been in the forefront of rehabilitating the mountain watershed once endangered with unabated log poaching and kaingin system from 54 percent open and denuded areas to what is now 92 percent high biodiversity forest cover.

Due to increase in watershed cover , study revealed that that the flow rate of surface water in springs and streams inside the watershed had significantly increased starting 2013 onward in spite of climate

variability and occurrences of El Niño in 2015 and 2018.

Elmer Luzon, SFWD general manager, said that reforestation efforts did not only increased the water yield but had also changed the microclimatic condition of the area bringing more rainfall even in the onset of drought and other climate phenomena.

“Since there is a direct relationship between the forest cover, water yield, and rainfall, the Mt Magdiwata Watershed experience revealed a highly significant correlation on the water yield and rainfall,” Luzon noted citing a recent study done by SFWD. SFWD’s success story served as a model and inspiration to 10 other local water districts in Northern Mindanao that comprises the Normin NRC Inc. Many Normin NRC members however are still struggling to preserve watersheds in their respective areas even as a resolution was passed in 2009 onehectare reforestation model projects with P35,000 yearly budget.

Factors preventing water districts in Northern Mindanao to protect their watershed as source of potable water supply were most of these areas are not declared by virtue of law or presidential proclamation and if there are , it is being challenged by overlapping of claims with mining areas operation putting the watershed in peril.

A case in point is the 66.20 watershed area of Cantilan Water District in Surigao del Sur of which a big portion has been destroyed a mining company (Marcventures Mining and Development Corp.)

Vicente Cirilo Iriberri, general manager of Cantilan Water District, said the destruction of the Lib-og Watershed has caused a major 74 percent decline of water supply from 50,000 cubic meters in January 2018 to 10,000 cubic meters in July 2018.

He said there is an overlapping and conflicting tenurial rights over watershed areas even water rights for irrigation, hydroelectric power and domestic water use against massive issuance of mining tenements.

“The lack of political will and sense of priority has resulted to forest denudation,” Iriberri said.

DENR 10 receives commendation from Biodiversity Management Bureau

THE Department of Environment and Natural Res ources Region 10 (DENR 10) received a commendation from Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB) for its initiative to conduct a Capacity Development Training Workshop on Cave Management and Assessment on February 11-14, 2019 at Dancagan, Province of Bukidnon.

The training workshop was spearheaded by the personnel from Protected Area Management and Biodiversity Conservation Section (PAMBCS)

of DENR 10 and attended by field personnel from Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Bukidnon, Community Environment and Natural Resources Offices (CENROs) of Valencia City, Don Carlos, Manolo Fortich and Talakag.

The training workshop specifically oriented the participants on the following: (1) rationale and i nt ro du c t i on t o c ave , (2) guidelines governing the naming of caves, (3) guidelines safeguarding the caves utilized for tourism, (4) outline of

cave management plan, (5) cave surveying and mapping, (6) cave photo documentation, and (7) caving techniques and safety roping technique.

Actual cave assessment and rappelling in Kisolop Cave at New Kidapawan, Kibawe, Bukidnon was conducted in order to gauge the learning of the participants.

In its memorandum dated April 1, 2019, the BMB expressed its hope that more field officers will be given such kind of training. #TayoAngKalikasan
