CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: Deputy Speaker and Cagayan de Oro Rep. Rufus Rodriguez on Thursday batted for the completion of the railway project and cheaper power for Mindanao. Rodriguez and members of the Centrist Democratic Party of the Philippines (CDP) met with VicePresident Leni Robredo Wednesday to discuss urgent projects crucial to the future of Mindanao economic development. During the meeting, Rodriguez pushed for the implementation of the Mindanao Railway Project conmecting Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental and Iligan City in Lanao del Norte to the whole Mindan-

ao region and inter-connect the regional economy of Mindanao. Rodriguez was the original proponent of the project for Mindanao way back in 2008 and has been longdelayed already, denying the Mindanaons their rightful economic opportunities and inclusive growth. The legislator also discussed the urgent rehabilitation of the Agus-Pulangi Power Complex to restore its power production to 100% of its rated capacity of 1,000 megawatts (MW) and substantially lower electricity prices in Mindanao. MANILA – The Ministry of Health (MOH) in the Bangsamoro region gets a boost with the donation of sea ambulances and key medical equipment from Japan and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
